We are proud to be formally recognized with industry and ministerial awards for innovation and environmental stewardship, while managing long-term contracts within both provincial and federal jurisdictions.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are looking to expand our highway maintenance operations areas and are preparing a response to an RFP announced by the Provincial Government for a highway maintenance contract in Eastern and Central Alberta.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As such, LaPrairie Works is in search for applications to fill the role of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Snowplow Operator </span>for Oyen, AB - Highway Maintenance Operations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The successful candidates will be hired should LaPrairie Works be successful in procuring the contract for this area.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Roles and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operation of spreader, plow wing, combo unit or tow plow in a safe and efficient manner to carry out the clearing of local roads as per the contract requirements.</li>\n<li>Operate required specialized winter equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain cleanliness of the equipment and conduct any routine maintenance, including performing minor repairs as needed.</li>\n<li>Review and understand route maps and application rates.</li>\n<li>Complete/ maintain accurate hours of service records, safety reports, and fuel reports.</li>\n<li>Observe and uphold HSE fundamentals.</li>\n<li>Responsible for pre &amp; post inspection check of equipment and track in log book.</li>\n<li>Report any equipment defects or maintenance issues to Foreman/Superintendent.</li>\n<li>Responsible for checking and refilling equipment fuels and fluids to required specs.</li>\n<li>Track any refueling or top ups in inspection log.</li>\n<li>Prepare and submit necessary reports (daily, weekly, etc.).</li>\n<li>Actively participate in the compliance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System.</li>\n<li>Other duties as may be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with off-road &amp; winter driving.</li>\n<li>Experience in highway maintenance activities, such as winter maintenance, surface repairs, roadside and bridge maintenance.</li>\n<li>Ability to work day/night shifts and be on-call.</li>\n<li>Valid Class 1 or 3 license.</li>\n<li>Driver’s abstract in good standing.</li>\n<li>First Aid Training.</li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>LaPrairie Works Inc provides Industry-leading compensation and benefits, professional training, and development opportunities and all within a supportive, dynamic, and proactive work environment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Interested candidates are invited to submit their application, including a resume and cover letter. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further steps in the selection process. </p>",
