    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Position Title:</u></strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Lifeguard/ Temporary/ Summer Seasonal</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>PLEASE REVIEW THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT, FILL OUT, AND SUBMIT IN PLACE OF A RESUME WITH APPLICATION</strong></p><p><strong><u>Department:</u></strong> Parks and Recreation</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Works under the direct supervision of the Pool and Waterfront Coordinator or his/her designees. &nbsp; Responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Knowledge and Skills</u></strong></p><ul><li>Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques. &nbsp;</li><li>An understanding of facility policies, procedures and rules.&nbsp;</li><li>Leadership qualities and public relations skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Considerable ability in following directions, establishing working relationships, and working independently.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Responsibilities &nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul><li>Enforce ALL Aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies.&nbsp;</li><li>Inspect the aquatic facility on a daily schedule and report unsafe conditions and equipment to the supervisor.&nbsp;</li><li>Complete <strong>ACCURATE</strong> records and reports.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in in-service training.&nbsp;</li><li>Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul><li>Up-To-Date American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification</li><li>American Red Cross CPR, AED &amp; First Aid for the Professional Rescuer&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Other</u></strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Available from Memorial Day Weekend &ndash; Labor Day Weekend.&nbsp;</li><li>Must also be available to work weekdays &amp; weekends.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Salary</u></strong></p><ul class=\"decimal_type\"><li>$18.00 Pool - per hour <strong>(16 Year Old)</strong></li><li>$20.00 Waterfront Lifeguard&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Physical Demands</u></strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
