Description
Eurasia Group is the leading independent global political risk and research consulting firm. We’re looking for a talented digital communications associate to join the Office of the President. We are a close-knit team looking for a creative and collaborative colleague who shares our passion for politics.
Your primary responsibility is managing the Eurasia Group website and running Eurasia Group’s social media channels. You will edit the site drawing from content we have published externally as well as content we create specifically for our website. You will be instrumental in driving new content creation, working with the Eurasia Live team and analysts from the research department. You’re flexible and enthusiastic about working with different content formats – you may conduct interviews, draft commentary, conceive/shoot/edit short video interviews, work with analysts to edit short-form articles, and project-manage occasional larger-scale thought leadership features.
Overall, you will manage the daily content schedule for the website, particularly Eurasia Live, upload all content, and ensure that all sections of the website are up to date and accurate. You have an editorial eye for photo selection, writing headlines, and article placement. You are fluent in social media, can engage responsibly on our behalf, and proactively develop new ways of engaging with audiences. You understand website metrics and will develop data-informed strategies for the website and audience engagement.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience
• BA/BS in journalism, marketing, international affairs or other relevant field
• Experience developing digital content and growing a social audience, including an understanding of best practices around publishing for the web and social promotion
• Understanding of SEO as well as experience running paid social campaigns
• Data driven: experience using analytics and applying findings from them to content decisions
• Exceptional organizational skills, a strong sense of attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter
Perks of working at Eurasia Group:
• An amazing mission -- to help our clients capitalize on the opportunities and manage the risks created by the impact of politics on markets around the world.
• The opportunity to work with a talented and entrepreneurial team in a global environment.
• Flexible work environment, with contemporary offices located in New York (Flatiron), DC (DuPont Circle) and London (Clerkenwell), Tokyo (Marunouchi) and Sao Paulo (Faria Lima).
• PTO bank of 23 days, 10 paid holidays and 2 summer Fridays.
• A strong belief in work-life balance.
• Competitive salary plus incentive compensation plan.
• Rich benefits package – The firm contributes 82-90% to medical and dental premiums, 100% employer-paid LTD, STD and life insurance, 401(k) plus fully vested employer match and pre-tax commuter benefits.
• Business casual dress code.
Eurasia Group is an equal opportunity employer.
