This role ensures designs are technically correct, buildable, safe, repeatable, and aligned with Nomad’s manufacturing capabilities and throughput requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This role:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Validates engineering output prior to Production release</li>\n<li>Ensures manufacturability, safety, and repeatability across all disciplines</li>\n<li>Protects engineering intent while enabling Production throughput</li>\n<li>Does not invent, configure, or standardize designs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Measures of Success:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>First-pass Design-for-Manufacture-and-Assembly (DFMA) acceptance rate</li>\n<li>Reduction in production rework and clarifications</li>\n<li>Manufacturing throughput and takt time improvements</li>\n<li>Reduction in production deviations and workarounds</li>\n<li>Clear and auditable manufacturing documentation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Manufacturing &amp; Industrial Engineering Execution</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own DFMA review and approval prior to Production release.</li>\n<li>Ensure designs are buildable, safe, repeatable, and clearly documented.</li>\n<li>Reject incomplete, unclear, or unmanufacturable designs and return them for correction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Production Readiness &amp; Validation</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the final engineering validation gate before designs are released to Production.</li>\n<li>Ensure Production never needs to reinterpret engineering intent or create workarounds.</li>\n<li>Validate tooling, fixtures, layouts, and workflows required for execution.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Industrial Engineering &amp; Throughput Optimization</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Optimize takt time, layouts, tooling efficiency, and labor utilization.</li>\n<li>Establish and improve manufacturing cells and lines.</li>\n<li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase throughput.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Cross-Team Collaboration &amp; Feedback</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with Team 1 to provide manufacturability feedback for standards improvement.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with Team 2 and Team 3 to address manufacturability risks early.</li>\n<li>Capture Production and field feedback and feed systemic issues into Standards &amp; Modularity.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Resource Coordination &amp; Leadership</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering resources assigned to Team 4.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with Discipline Managers on staffing and capability needs.</li>\n<li>Set clear expectations for technical rigor, validation discipline, and delivery.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Experience:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>8+ years engineering experience with progressive leadership responsibility.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems, Human Factors, or related). Equivalent experience considered. </span><br>Degree must be ABET accredited.  </li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated ownership of engineering standards, architectures, modular platforms, or reusable systems across multiple programs.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Strong cross-functional leadership: ability to align stakeholders, drive decisions, and deliver through influence.</span></li>\n<li><span>Roadmap scoping, estimation, and delivery management experience.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Experience in complex integrated systems (mobile/industrial systems, connected systems, safety-critical or operator-facing products).</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Familiarity with configuration management, requirements discipline, verification/validation frameworks, and release governance.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Background collaborating with manufacturing and field/service teams to translate feedback into engineering improvements.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Competencies:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Roadmap leadership and execution discipline</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Standards governance and change management</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Systems thinking and interface rigor</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Clear written communication and documentation</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Practical enablement mindset (adoption-focused, not just authoring)</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Data-driven decision making (metrics, KPIs, capacity/estimation)</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrable adoption and impact (reuse, quality improvements, faster execution, fewer integration issues)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.</li>\n<li>Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.</li>\n<li>Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Environment:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional office environment with regular interaction with guests, clients, team members, and vendors.</li>\n<li>Typical indoor manufacturing environment. Noise level is usually moderate.
