    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>UMaine Auxiliary Enterprises is seeking Facilities Maintenance Worker CL1s to perform custodial tasks, in residence halls, dining commons, retail spaces, and/or offices. Be a part of the team that keeps our campus clean, safe, and welcoming for current and future students, faculty, staff and visitors. <strong>This is a full-time, regular, position, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. Starting pay is $17.80/hr.&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Available Schedules:</p>\n<p>Sunday - Thursday 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.<br>\n  Tuesday - Saturday 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.</p>\n<p>UMaine Housing offers:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Overtime opportunities</li>\n <li>Consistent work schedule</li>\n <li>Paid holidays, Sick and Vacation time</li>\n <li>Health insurance effective first day of employment</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Facilities Maintenance Worker CL1s (Housing Custodians) are responsible for cleaning campus residence halls and auxiliary buildings to include daily, weekly, monthly and other cyclical tasks, and assist with exterior tasks such as snow removal and sanding of building entrances and walkways. These positions play an important role in ensuring the health and safety of the campus community.</p>\n<p>Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee operates cleaning equipment, uses cleaning chemicals and materials.</li>\n <li>Performs heavy lifting in the removal of trash, moves furniture and equipment.</li>\n <li>Shovels snow from building entrances and walkways.</li>\n <li>May pick up litter within several feet of an assigned building.</li>\n <li>Cleans fixtures, furnishings and facilities in and around campus buildings in accordance with departmental protocols.</li>\n <li>Works alone or in groups.</li>\n <li>Climbs ladders up to 12 feet to perform necessary work.</li>\n <li>Develops and maintains professional relationships that reflect courtesy, civility, and mutual respect.</li>\n <li>This is an essential position with the expectation that incumbents report to work on snow/storm days and other days when campus is closed.</li>\n <li>Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This position has been designated as an “Essential Employee” role.
