    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>i3 is seeking a Risk Manager to join our team and support an Aviation Project Management Office by leading comprehensive risk, issue, and opportunity (RI&O) management activities. This role is critical to delivering an integrated risk posture that informs leadership decision-making across weapon system design, development, production, and sustainment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As a Risk Manager, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and execute risk, issue, and opportunity management activities, including planning, identification, analysis, mitigation, and monitoring</li>\n <li>Provide analytical support to assess and quantify risks impacting cost, schedule, and performance (the “iron triangle”) across the program lifecycle</li>\n <li>Collaborate with government stakeholders, prime contractors, engineers, product managers, and business teams to ensure risks are identified, documented, and managed effectively</li>\n <li>Maintain and update risk data within the Active Risk Manager (ARM) tool and ensure accurate, auditable documentation of risk narratives and mitigation actions</li>\n <li>Support program planning by integrating risk mitigation strategies into systems engineering processes, acquisition schedules, and lifecycle activities</li>\n <li>Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings and reports to communicate risk status, mitigation progress, and emerging issues to leadership</li>\n <li>Facilitate Risk Management Working Groups and Risk Management Boards (RMBs), including action item tracking and meeting coordination</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain the Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management Plan (RIOMP) in compliance with DoD policies and guidance</li>\n <li>Apply data-driven analysis and statistical methods to identify root causes and improve risk mitigation strategies</li>\n <li>Support lifecycle cost estimation, budget recommendations, resource alignment, and Test & Evaluation (T&E) activities to ensure system effectiveness and safety</li>\n <li>Adapt risk management frameworks and reporting structures to align with evolving acquisition phases and program milestones</li>\n <li>Operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, making timely and informed decisions</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)</li>\n <li>8+ years of relevant experience in risk management, program management, or defense acquisition</li>\n <li>Active DoD Secret security clearance required (must be able to maintain)</li>\n <li>Experience supporting defense acquisition programs, aviation systems, or complex technical projects</li>\n <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including statistical and data-driven analysis</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior leadership</li>\n <li>Experience working in DoD, federal, aerospace, or defense environments</li>\n <li>U.S. Citizenship</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting DoD or Federal aviation programs</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Active Risk Manager (ARM) or similar risk management tools</li>\n <li>Experience working with cross-functional teams, government stakeholders, and acquisition programs</li>\n <li>Strong technical documentation, briefing, and reporting experience</li>\n <li>Familiarity with systems engineering processes, Test & Evaluation (T&E), and lifecycle cost analysis</li>\n <li>Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Knowledge/Skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of office administration and procedures.</li>\n <li>Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully.</li>\n <li>Interact with a diverse array of customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner.</li>\n <li>Work independently with accountability for accurate and complete results.</li>\n <li>Be extremely organized and exceptionally detail oriented.</li>\n <li>Work well both independently and in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Be energized by a fast-paced work environment.</li>\n <li>Must be able to communicate with others effectively.</li>\n <li>Analyze information and respond appropriately.</li>\n <li>Manage time wisely and prioritize tasks.</li>\n <li>Provide superior customer service. </li>\n <li>Multi-task in a pleasant manner.</li>\n <li>Work well under pressure.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Physical Demands:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</li>\n <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
