PITT OHIO offers career opportunities within a company that values hard work, teamwork and integrity.</p>\n<p><strong>What PITT OHIO Offers</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive pay</li>\n <li>Excellent benefits including medical insurance with no weekly premiums, dental, vision, 401 (k) and profit sharing</li>\n <li>Paid time off and holidays</li>\n <li>A respectful, people first work environment</li>\n <li>Well-maintained equipment & modern 7 bay shop</li>\n <li>Base Pay Range: $31.29 - $36.29/hour</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience, skill set and additional potential earnings.</em></p>\n<p> <strong>Additional Potential Earnings:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Shift Differential</li>\n <li>CDL Premium</li>\n <li>ASE Certification Bonus</li>\n <li>Tool Allowance</li>\n <li>Online Training</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you’re looking to join a company with a strong culture and a commitment to its employees, PITT OHIO is the place for you.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment safely and correctly;</li>\n <li>Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components correctly;</li>\n <li>Informs management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices, and suggests corrective actions;</li>\n <li>Identifies and informs management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment, and takes steps to solve issue if possible;</li>\n <li>Correctly completes work orders and documents;</li>\n <li>Maintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance;</li>\n <li>Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.</li>\n <li>Perform additional duties as assigned. </li>\n <li>Operate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defects;</li>\n <li>Analyze malfunctions and perform general overhaul, tune up or preventive maintenance of equipment;</li>\n <li>Dismantle and reassemble equipment;</li>\n <li>Plan work procedure using charges, technical manuals and experience;</li>\n <li>Enter labor lines and parts into repair order computer system.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Other Duties</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel to other company shop locations when staff is needed</li>\n <li>React to change productivity and handle other essential tasks as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Two years' verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with one verifiable experience;</li>\n <li>A valid state-issued driver's license;</li>\n <li>Must pass DOT physical and drug screen;</li>\n <li>A CDL, ASE and State and/or Federal inspection certification is preferred but not required;</li>\n <li>Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintain a variety of heavy trucks and semi-trailers and other mechanical equipment is required;</li>\n <li>Basic hand tools are required;</li>\n <li>Must have working knowledge of the operating principles of diesel engines and repair of heavy trucks;</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain detailed time and parts used on work orders</li>\n <li>Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate to both internal and external customers</li>\n <li>Computer skills needed for diagnostics.</li>\n <li>Must consent to the use of driver-facing event recorders in our fleet to promote the safety of our employees and the public.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Working Conditions/Physical Requirements</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel may be required; must be able to work a varied schedule based on need</li>\n <li>Overtime may be necessary during peak periods;</li>\n <li>Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects</li>\n <li>Subject to both internal and external environmental conditions</li>\n <li>Subject to: standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>PITT OHIO is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
