    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>General Description</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><p>The Boiler Engineer shall become an important part of the culture, uphold standards, support the company&rsquo;s values, and participate in the safe and productive working environment as outlined by the General Manager. &nbsp;The Boiler Engineer is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance all aspects of the Boiler on the premises to Kennebec Lumber Company&rsquo;s Organizational standards. The operator is responsible for monitoring, adjusting, maintaining including preventative maintenance planning for the Boiler area.</p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Optimize KLC Boiler systems for performance and reliability</li><li>Ensure operations meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards</li><li>Train and mentor Boiler operators</li><li>Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Act as the escalation point for complex system failure</li><li>Operate biomass fuel-burning boiler or auxiliary system equipment in accordance with specifications or instructions.</li><li>Operate valves, pumps, engines, or generators to control and adjust production of biofuels or biomass-fueled power.</li><li>Operate equipment to heat biomass, using knowledge of controls, combustion, and firing mechanisms.</li><li>Operate equipment to start, stop, or regulate biomass-fueled generators, generator units, boilers, engines, or auxiliary systems.</li><li>Nightly water columns and blow downs</li><li>Sharpen chipper knives for the Chipper operator</li><li>Perform Grate raking duties</li><li>Ability to operate a front-end loader to load woodchips for plant</li><li>Hourly Rounds taking readings and equipment inspections</li><li>Inspect Boiler biomass power plant or processing equipment, recording or reporting damage and mechanical problems.</li><li>Cross Team Collaboration with managers/support staff</li><li>Develop and update Standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed</li><li>Develop and sustain a preventative maintenance plan- to minimize downtime</li><li>Boiler Maintenance- Solve, diagnose, and repair complex technical issues along with basic mechanical issues.</li><li>Record and report operational data (readings on meters, instruments and gauges)</li><li>Create and maintain detailed technical documentation</li><li>All other tasks as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Requirements:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to work a rotating schedule including- nights, weekends and holidays</li><li>Extensive knowledge of industrial boiler operations and maintenance</li><li>Ability to pass KLC boiler operator knowledge test upon interview</li><li>Preferred- Boiler Operator or Third-Class Stationary Steam Engineer license&nbsp;</li><li>Preferred- ASME or AWS certification &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Physical Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Bend, Squat, kneel, reach as needed</li><li>Stand for extended periods of time</li><li>Sit for extended periods of time</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p></div></div>\n",
