PSI supports the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), Command & Control (C2) Mission Systems (C2MS) task order focused on delivery excellence, cost/schedule fidelity, and mission outcomes. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking a motivated C2MS Configuration Manager SkillBridge Intern to support configuration identification, control, audits, and status accounting within a complex Air Force command-and-control environment. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and program staff to ensure discipline, traceability, and documentation of C2MS products and changes throughout the lifecycle.</p>\n<p>This position is ideal for transitioning service members with experience in IT, cyber operations, systems administration, maintenance, satellite communications, or similar technical fields.The SkillBridge intern will gain hands-on experience in configuration management, system lifecycle support, operational baselines, and enterprise-level C2 operations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Position Type:</strong> DoD SkillBridge (Fellowship/Internship) — Fulltime, Temporary (Unpaid per DoD policy) </li>\n <li><strong>Duration:</strong> 90–180 days (preferred 120–180 days; target dates flexible based on command approval and candidate availability) </li>\n <li><strong>Location:</strong> Onsite/Hybrid (CONUS) Hurlburt Field/Valparaiso FL Innovation Facility</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with configuration identification, including managing and organizing configuration items (CIs), documentation baselines, and version control.</li>\n <li>Support change management activities, including preparing change requests, participating in technical reviews, and updating configuration documentation.</li>\n <li>Maintain configuration status accounting records, tracking changes across multiple systems and environments.</li>\n <li>Help coordinate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings: agenda preparation, minutes, and action tracking.</li>\n <li>Work with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to maintain system integrity and compliance.</li>\n <li>Assist with audits and inspections to ensure configuration compliance with Air Force and contract standards.</li>\n <li>Learn and apply CM tools and processes such as Git, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, or military/contract‑specific equivalents.</li>\n <li>Perform documentation, artifact management, and quality assurance tasks within system engineering processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Eligibility:</strong><strong> </strong>Currently serving U.S. Service Member eligible for DoD SkillBridge (command approval required). </li>\n <li><strong>Experience:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Background in IT, operations, system administration, communications, avionics, cyber, or related military specialty.</li>\n   <li>Strong organizational and documentation skills.</li>\n   <li>Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.</li>\n   <li>Familiarity with Air Force environments, maintenance processes, or C2 operations (preferred but not required).</li>\n   <li>Basic understanding of system lifecycle, configuration control, or technical documentation.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Clearance:</strong> Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with CM tools (e.g., Git, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint).</li>\n <li>Prior exposure to C2MS, theater C2 systems, AOC weapon system, or similar mission systems.</li>\n <li>Understanding of RMF, STIGs, or cybersecurity principles.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>What You’ll Gain </strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Hands‑on experience in Air Force C2 program operations.</li>\n   <li>Practical training in configuration management, systems engineering, and program documentation.</li>\n   <li>Exposure to industry tools and Agile processes.</li>\n   <li>Career development under experienced CM and engineering leads.</li>\n   <li>Potential for post‑separation employment based on performance and contract needs.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Compensation & Status </strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>This is an unpaid DoD SkillBridge opportunity for qualifying transitioning Service Members. </li>\n   <li>Participants remain on active-duty orders and continue to receive military pay/benefits from their Service during the fellowship. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Benefits</h2>\n<p>PSI offers full-time, benefits eligible employees a competitive total compensation package that includes paid leave, and options for employer sponsored group medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, AD&D coverage, legal services, identity theft, and accident insurance.
