Description
AAR is the place of choice to build an inspiring career.
The Avionics Lead is responsible to his or her respective department supervisor for all functions assigned to provide airworthiness of the aircraft upon completion of maintenance at the facility. A Lead Technician is required to be a certified A&P Technician or hold a Repairman Certificate, an FCC certificate, or a Radio Repairman Operator certificate as applicable to the work they are supervising.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Being available for consultation on matters relating to work being accomplished on his or her assigned aircraft.
Ensuring all required paperwork is satisfactorily completed and signed and complies with all existing regulations and procedures.
Ensuring all equipment is properly used and adequate safeguards are in place to protect the customers aircraft and equipment.
Monitoring and reporting to supervisors the work of personnel under his or her responsibility for proper work performance, productivity, quality and personnel safety.
Assisting supervisors as requested in reviewing personnel for job qualifications and status and for maximizing manpower.
Performing on the job training for personnel.
Providing guidance and technical advice to assigned technicians.
Coordinating with other appropriate departments to organize and control the customers work package and any special considerations.
All other duties as assigned.

Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.
Frequently: Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull 20’, and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights ≥4’, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.
Occasionally: Lifting and/or carry ≤50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull
