Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE The Vice President, Enterprise Technology is accountable for building, operating, and continuously improving the enterprise technology platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity capabilities, and operational systems that enable Pattern Energy to scale safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role leads the delivery and operation of enterprise technology capabilities across corporate, development, engineering & construction, power operations, and other enabling functions. Responsibilities include enterprise applications, workplace technology, IT/OT infrastructure, operational technology cybersecurity, service management, enterprise architecture execution, and technology operational governance. The role partners closely with business leaders to embed scalable, standardized, and measurable business processes into enterprise platforms and workflows. Success in the role requires balancing operational reliability, cybersecurity, enterprise scalability, user experience, and disciplined execution while reducing unnecessary complexity and improving enterprise throughput. The Vice President, Enterprise Technology is also accountable for ensuring the resilience, recoverability, and regulatory compliance of enterprise and operational technology environments supporting Pattern’s generation, storage, and transmission assets. This includes responsibility for technology operational readiness associated with NERC CIP compliance obligations, operational support systems, and coordination with the company’s 24/7 operational support capabilities. As a senior enterprise leader, this role helps drive enterprise prioritization, governance, and operational execution discipline in partnership with business leadership, the Enterprise Excellence function, and other enterprise stakeholders. The role is expected to build durable internal technical capability, improve platform ownership maturity, and reduce organizational dependency on fragmented processes and external implementation coordination. The role requires management of a team of 50+ employees and additional contractors and consultants that supplement activities such as application configuration and development, business analysts, and operational support to applications. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Enterprise Technology Operations o Lead enterprise technology operations across enterprise applications, workplace technology, cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking, and IT/OT operational environments. o Ensure high availability, reliability, recoverability, and operational readiness of enterprise technology services and platforms. o Establish operational standards, lifecycle management practices, observability, and service management disciplines appropriate for a critical infrastructure operating environment. Enterprise Platforms & Applications o Oversee enterprise platforms supporting Finance, Development, Engineering & Construction, Power Operations, Energy Management, and Corporate Enabling functions. o Drive standardization, integration, simplification, and continuous improvement of enterprise workflows and digital capabilities. o Improve operational adoption and long-term sustainability of enterprise systems through disciplined platform ownership and support models. Architecture & Integration o Partner with enterprise architecture and data leadership to ensure enterprise systems align with long-term platform, integration, security, and data standards. o Reduce fragmentation, redundant tooling, and unnecessary customization across the enterprise technology landscape. o Support scalable integration patterns and operational interoperability across enterprise platforms and operational systems. Cybersecurity & Compliance o Lead operational execution of enterprise cybersecurity practices across corporate and operational technology environments. o Ensure technology operations align with applicable regulatory, cybersecurity, and operational risk management requirements, including NERC CIP obligations. o Support incident response, disaster recovery, operational resilience, and technology risk management activities. Operational Technology & Critical Infrastructure o Oversee operational technology infrastructure and supporting cybersecurity capabilities for generation, storage, and transmission assets. o Support operational readiness and secure operations for SCADA, plant communications, operational support systems, and related infrastructure. o Coordinate with operational stakeholders to ensure technology environments meet reliability and compliance expectations. Enterprise Execution & Governance o Partner with business leadership and the Enterprise Excellence team to support enterprise prioritization, portfolio execution, and operational governance. o Improve execution discipline, transparency, operational metrics, and value realization across enterprise technology initiatives. o Contribute to enterprise operating rhythms and governance processes that improve accountability, scalability, and decision quality. Talent & Organizational Leadership o Build and lead high-performing enterprise technology teams with strong operational, architectural, engineering, and platform ownership capabilities. o Develop internal technical capability and reduce over-reliance on external implementation and coordination models where practical. o Foster a culture of accountability, systems thinking, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and enterprise partnership. Strategic Leadership o Support enterprise scaling initiatives, integration activities, major operational changes, and strategic business priorities. o Assess technology investments with focus on enterprise value, operational resilience, scalability, and long-term maintainability. o Build trusted relationships with executive leadership, business stakeholders, strategic vendors, and operational partners. Qualifications Experience/Qualifications/Education Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline. 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across enterprise technology, operational technology, infrastructure, enterprise systems, or related operational environments. Experience leading technology operations within complex, highly regulated, or critical infrastructure industries preferred. Strong understanding of enterprise platforms, infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, operational resilience, and systems integration. Demonstrated experience improving operational maturity, technology governance, platform ownership, and enterprise scalability. Experience leading large-scale enterprise operational and technology modernization efforts. Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to operate effectively across technical and business leadership teams. Experience supporting operational technology and cybersecurity environments in energy, utilities, industrial, or critical infrastructure sectors preferred. The expected starting pay range for this role is $220,000 - $270,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
