Our solutions are aimed at various industries such as the energy industry, automotive, railways, and aeronautics, but also at R&amp;D centers and universities. Several multinationals use OPAL-RT SYSTEMS: EDF, EADS, DCNS, ABB, GE ENERGY, RENAULT, TOYOTA, GENERAL ELECTRIC, SNCF, CEA, CERN, NASA, etc.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Surpassing and stimulating challenges:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>As part of the development of OPAL-RT Europe's activities, and under the supervision of the Technical Team Leader, the Application Engineer is responsible for the technical support provided both to OPAL-RT Europe's customers and to the internal teams.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mission:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>After-sales technical support: on a day-to-day basis, he will provide technical support to existing customers and carry out projects and deliveries for new customers t</span><span>he commissioning of the systems as well as the training of users.</span></li>\n<li><span>Training and commissioning.</span></li>\n<li><span>Pre-sales technical support: upstream of projects, he will provide support to the various sales managers by carrying out feasibility studies or demonstrations.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>The candidate must be very rigorous and attentive to the client. He/she will be responsible for providing quality technical service and maintaining good relations with both clients and team members.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Regular international travel (duration of 2 to 5 days between 1 to 2 times per month) is to be expected throughout the duration of the mission.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span><span><br><br>1. Management of customer technical support and customer projects  : </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Live processing of support tickets opened by customers.</span></li>\n<li><span>If necessary, request level 2 or 3 support and follow-up of the file with the R&amp;D. department at the head office in Montreal.</span></li>\n<li><span>Follow-up of current projects in collaboration with the technical director.</span></li>\n<li><span>Participation in the purchase of equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Definition and execution of tests before delivery.</span></li>\n<li><span>Logistics follow-up of deliveries.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>2. Training &amp; Commissioning :</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Commission our systems at customer sites and provide user training either on-site or remotely.</span></li>\n<li><span>On-site or remote user training</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>3. Pre-sales support :</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Implementation of hardware and software demonstrators</span></li>\n<li><span>Product demonstrations at events (trade fairs, seminars)</span></li>\n<li><span>Carrying out feasibility studies for prospects</span></li>\n<li><span>Participation in the technical pitch to prospects</span></li>\n<li><span>Supporting sales managers in the field</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">: </span>Diploma in the fields of electrical engineering.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience</span><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">:</span> Ideally significant experience in modeling complex systems such as electrical conversion and drives, mechatronic systems, control/command.
