Job Overview
Perform specialized technical and analytical duties that are required to register students, certify graduation, evaluate transcripts, and establish and maintain a variety of complex student records at assigned campus. Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and perform registration procedures for all students; determine eligibility of students to enroll by verifying residency within the school district Assist transfer students in making subject selections to meet graduation requirements; register all new students and processes transfers and withdrawals Works closely with all teachers to ensure that grades are properly posted for all students Responsible for evaluation, maintenance and custody of all student academic records Assist in the implementation of Texas Education Agency regulations applicable to registrar operations Coordinate the updating of computerized student records; maintain updated class rankings and student grade point averages Work with the counselors in all matters related to student registration, subject selections, transcripts and updated student information Establishes and maintains office procedures to facilitate accumulation of data relating to enrollment, grades, credit, withdrawals and graduation Collect statistical data required for planning and research Assist in the interpretation of school and district programs, policies and procedures for students, parents and staff Review and evaluates transcripts Maintain the list of courses approved as National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) core courses Supervise assigned clerical staff and student assistants

High School Diploma or GED Some experience with students and extensive office procedures Thorough knowledge of public school registration and record keeping procedures, practices and requirements, including computer technology utilizations and database management methods and procedures Good knowledge of college application process deadlines, school calendar (e.g., grade reporting dates), and report processing deadlines Ability to accurately maintain complex data files and to prepare reports from files and records Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, support staff, students, and parents Ability to independently analyze and evaluate grade histories/credits and correctly enter this information into computer system to produce accurate official transcripts, grade point averages, and class rank. Ability to organize, execute and follow through on the senior college application process Ability to perform work independently and accurately under extreme deadline pressures Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships with fellow employees, central and school-based staff, students, parents, colleges, businesses and the public, tactfully and courteously, and to work harmoniously with other employees Some positions require ability to monitor, supervise, train, or advise clients, users of services, students, or subordinate personnel involved in routine tasks Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.
