If you are dedicated, skilled, and eager to contribute to our continued success, we encourage you to apply and become a key player in our top-quality service delivery and customized installations.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p>Reporting to and under the general direction and training of their Supervisor, the HVAC Testing Technician plays a crucial role in performing all aspects of job responsibilities in a safe, satisfactory, and timely manner to meet scheduled deadlines. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and a keen ability to learn. The primary role involves field commissioning of units and/or systems, conducting owner FAT demonstrations off-site, and traveling for startup, FAT, commissioning, warranty service, and repair. The HVAC Testing Technician will also actively participate in the testing team.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Lead and execute all phases of work, coordinating with other disciplines/departments, to start and test units and systems, ensuring trouble-free reliable operation.</li><li>Conduct pre-startup work, including reviewing design engineering drawings, bill of materials, various checklists, and loading PLC or VFD programs.</li><li>Check and document the integrity of all components and their installation before connecting power and energizing each unit.</li><li>Document and perform various checks upon energizing equipment, including motor rotational check, belt and alignment checks, refrigerant charge optimization, and control sequences of operation.</li><li>Proactively identify and resolve errors, omissions, and deficiencies before Quality Control and/or field commissioning processes.</li><li>Provide technical assistance to operators and owners regarding the installation, startup, and operation of Factory HVAC systems.</li><li>Assist in training other technicians and staff when applicable.</li><li>Prepare records and reports describing procedures, actions taken, and recommended solutions.</li><li>Submit requests for supplies and equipment.</li><li>Respond to emergency warranty service repair requests.</li><li>Enforce sound safety and housekeeping practices, following safety rules/procedures.</li><li>Review safety procedures before beginning each job with known hazards.</li><li>Establish good relationships and credibility with customers.</li><li>Manage time, priorities, and expenses effectively.</li><li>Drive and safely maintain an assigned Company vehicle, and travel to the site as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Special Skills:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to work safely with live rotating equipment and high voltage up to 600 volts.</li><li>Familiarity with Class 1 Div 2 standards and work practices regarding HVAC systems (preferred).</li><li>Knowledge of Industrial Plant work practices regarding Safety, LOTO, work permitting, etc. (preferred).</li><li>Physical fitness for activities associated with the job, including occasional lifting and moving up to 65 pounds individually and greater weights with assistance, bending, stretching, stooping, climbing, and other physical acts.</li><li>Overnight and extended travel required.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Certification Required:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>EPA Certification.</li><li>Texas HVAC Technician Registration.</li><li>TWIC preferred.</li><li>Basic Plus preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Experience Required</strong>:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Five plus years in the HVAC Industry.</li><li>Commercial or Industrial HVAC experience.</li><li>Knowledge of controls.</li><li>Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams for troubleshooting and identifying errors and omissions.</li><li>Above-average control and refrigeration circuit troubleshooting ability.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><p><em>We value our team members and offer competitive benefits, including:</em></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>401K with company match</li><li>Medical insurance</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Vision plan</li><li>Prescription plan</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance and disability coverage</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Referral Program</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Join Us:</strong></p><p>If you have a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and the desire to be part of a winning team, we invite you to apply and embark on a rewarding career with Custom Air Products &amp; Services, Inc.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Be part of a company that values your contributions and invests in your future.
