This role requires a deep understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems and a passion for innovation.</p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: </span></p>\n<p>The Robotics Engineer will be responsible for:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborating with the engineering team to design and develop new or improved products.</li>\n<li>Converting conceptual designs into functional prototypes using CAD software, 3D printing, and other prototyping tools.</li>\n<li>Integrating mechanical and electronic components to craft functional systems.</li>\n<li>Designing and developing firmware and program software as required.</li>\n<li>Setting up experiments to validate the design's performance and functionality.</li>\n<li>Documenting findings and recommending design improvements.</li>\n<li>Supporting production and field teams by actively troubleshooting mechatronic-related issues.</li>\n<li>Performing regular maintenance and updates on mechatronic equipment and systems.</li>\n<li>Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all design changes and outcomes.</li>\n<li>Preparing and presenting reports that detail progress, challenges, and recommendations.</li>\n<li>Staying informed on the latest advancements in mechatronics and related technologies<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">.</span></li>\n<li>Performing other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.</li>\n<li>Experience designing and constructing unmanned systems, including integrating mechanical and electronic components.</li>\n<li>Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and electronics simulation tools.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience with microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and embedded programming (C, C++, Python).</li>\n<li>Proven ability to drive innovation and develop creative solutions to complex challenges in a dynamic environment.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry advancements related to mechatronics and embedded systems.</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving skills, with the proven ability to work independently to overcome complex challenges while maintaining accountability for deliverables and deadlines.</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings effectively.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with unmanned systems and part 107 certificate.</li>\n<li>Comfortably operate in a lab and production environment.</li>\n<li>Understanding of current industry trends and best practices.</li>\n<li>Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.</li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based collaborative resources such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>ABSI Aerospace &amp; Defense is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind: ABSI is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
