This role is responsible for preparing and managing preconstruction services, including conceptual estimates, detailed takeoffs, subcontractor bid reviews, and GMP proposals. The Senior Estimator will play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive, and value-driven estimates while collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and clients.<br><br>(in-office role with occasional local site travel)</p><h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Lead estimating efforts on large commercial projects ($50M+).</p></li><li><p>Prepare conceptual and schematic estimates during early design phases.</p></li><li><p>Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor bids.</p></li><li><p>Develop bid strategies and subcontractor solicitation lists; ensure complete scope coverage.</p></li><li><p>Conduct constructability reviews, system analysis, and value engineering exercises.</p></li><li><p>Manage owner deliverables including estimate summaries, clarifications, and presentations.</p></li><li><p>Mentor junior estimators and provide guidance to the preconstruction team.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with operations teams to develop job cost budgets.</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</p></li><li><p>8+ years of experience in estimating for a general contractor.</p></li><li><p>Strong conceptual estimating skills.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (On-Screen Takeoff, WinEst, Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage/Timberline).</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with BIM and Autodesk software for quantity takeoffs.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills.</p></li><li><p>Experience with GMP and design-build pursuits preferred.</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Base salary range: $160,000 - $200,000 (depending on experience).</p></li><li><p>Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and career development opportunities.</p></li></ul><p>Our client is an EEOC Employer and encourages all minority groups to apply. </p>\n\n<p>By applying to this job, as part of our typical recruiting process, from time to time, we may contact you regarding positions that we feel are a good fit for you or engage with you during the recruiting process via SMS text message.
