Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with many activity programs held daily, to improve the quality of life through promotion of physical, mental, and spiritual well being</li>\n <li>Assist in making daily announcements for R.O., information, weather, resident’s/staff birthday, etc.</li>\n <li>Assist with fulfilling the sensory needs of those bedridden as well as LYFE participants</li>\n <li>Assist in planning the monthly calendar of activities and suggest ideas for future planning</li>\n <li>Communicate with Activities director regarding daily problems, concerns and issues dealing with resident’s behavior </li>\n <li>Work with volunteers during activities</li>\n <li>Orient and supervise volunteers along with Director</li>\n <li>Document attendance to activities and complete individual participation records</li>\n <li>Attend care plan when assigned</li>\n <li>Document inventory of supplies</li>\n <li>Assist and participate with scheduled outings outside of the facility</li>\n <li>Communicate with organization representatives within the community who visit the facility</li>\n <li>Act as representative of the Department in the absence of the Director</li>\n <li>Attend administrative meetings as designated</li>\n <li>Collaborate with other staff members in conducting events</li>\n <li>Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan</li>\n <li>Report any malfunctioning equipment to proper department</li>\n <li>Report any observed hazards to proper department</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must hold a current certification and GNA license in Maryland</li>\n <li>High school graduate or equivalent </li>\n <li>1 year experience working in a skill nursing facility environment preferred</li>\n <li>Strong desire to work with the elderly or disabled</li>\n <li>Previous experience in arts/crafts and/or music highly desirable</li>\n <li>Ability to handle emotional and behavioral disturbance</li>\n <li>Ability to be vivacious and patient in interactions with residents</li>\n <li>Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings as scheduled</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Equal Opportunity Employer </p>\n<p>FutureCare has a longstanding policy of providing a work environment that respects the dignity and worth of each individual and is free from all forms of employment discrimination, including harassment, because of race, color, sex, gender, pregnancy, age, religion, national origin, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
