Located in in Henderson, Texas the HOPE facility complies with HSSC Residential standards and provides a safe and secure environment for staff and client while utilizing employing state of the art treatment methods.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">MTC is hiring a Technology Assisted Treatment Counselor looking to give people hope, skills, and opportunities for a better life at&nbsp;HOPE TTC.</p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Reports to the facility administrator. Responsible for providing virtual counseling services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The counselor will deliver evidence-based treatment through telehealth modalities, ensuring accessible and effective care. This role requires a licensed professional with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of addiction and recovery, and proficiency in using digital tools to deliver therapy.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>1. <strong>Provide Counseling:&nbsp;</strong>Deliver individual and group counseling sessions via telehealth platforms, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>2. <strong>Technology Utilization:&nbsp;</strong>Ensuring that sessions are delivered smoothly and securely. Adapt treatment approaches to the virtual environment while maintaining engagement and effectiveness.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>3. <strong>Documentation:&nbsp;</strong>Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies. Document all interactions with progress notes.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>4. <strong>Client Education:&nbsp;</strong>Provide educational resources and support to clients on substance use disorders, recovery strategies, and the use of technology in treatment.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>5. <strong>Crisis Intervention:&nbsp;</strong>Respond to client crises during virtual sessions, providing immediate support and coordinating emergency care if needed.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>6. <strong>Compliance and Ethics:&nbsp;</strong>Ensure all counseling services are delivered in accordance with state licensing requirements, ethical guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>7. <strong>Continuous Learning:&nbsp;</strong>Stay updated on the latest trends and research in substance use treatment, particularly as they relate to technology-assisted care. Participate in ongoing professional development and training.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>8. Regular and predictable attendance is required.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>9. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>10. Maintain accountability of staff, offenders and property; adhere to safety practices.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Licensure:&nbsp;</strong>Must be a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in Texas.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED required. Two (2) years full-time, wage-earning substance abuse treatment or substance abuse education experience also required. Must possess current valid licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), or current valid licensure as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) by the Texas Certification Board of Addition Professionals. Must maintain valid licensure or certification for continued employment in the position.
