    "description_html": "<p><br></p><p>St. Catherine of Siena School - West Dundee</p><p>We have an open position in our After School Spartan Care Service for the 2026-2027 School Year. &nbsp;&nbsp;The job would start Wednesday, August 19, 2026 and happen every day that school is in session. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Part-Time: </strong>3:00 pm – 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm, 5 days per week, during school sessions.</p><p><strong>Pay rate range:</strong> $15 - $16.50 per hour<br><strong>Benefits:</strong> <a href=\"https://www.rockforddiocese.org/pdfs/accounting/Summary-of-Benefits.pdf\" target=\"\">Rockford Diocese Benefits PDF</a><br></p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Principal<br></p><p><strong>General Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Provide students with a safe and supportive learning environment in both the classroom and on the playground.</li><li>Gather students and take attendance.</li><li>Distribute snacks and milk to students.</li><li>Create activities and prepare materials that are interesting, educational, and safe for students in grades Preschool through 5th grade.</li><li>Support students who need help with instruction, homework, and activities.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Practical oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Understand and follow specific instructions and procedures, including safety procedures.</li><li>Possess child supervision skills.</li><li>Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.</li><li>Skilled in preparing instructional aids and plans.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><p><strong>Before/After School (Extended Care Duties):</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise students in the extended care program during designated hours.</li><li>Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, activities, and quiet time.</li><li>Ensure student safety and adherence to school behavioral expectations.</li><li>Maintain accurate attendance and incident records as required.</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents during pick-up and drop-off.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li><strong>Qualifications and Requirements</strong></li><li>High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or experience in childcare/education preferred.</li><li>Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.</li><li>Demonstrated patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with school staff.</li><li>Must pass a background check and meet all state and diocesan requirements for working with children.</li><li>CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).</li></ul><h3><strong>Working Conditions</strong></h3><ul><li>Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.</li><li>Requires the ability to lift to 25 lbs.</li><li>May require outdoor supervision in various weather conditions.</li><li>Works well in a team setting with one more aftercare supervisor</li></ul>",
