    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Do you have experience in Carpentry, Metal Fabrication, Shipfitting or  Cranes/Forklifts....then this is an exciting career for you!!!!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Steel Processing takes raw material (plate and shapes) through a variety of cutting and forming techniques to create the parts to fabricate the Hull and Structure of our nuclear submarines.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>2nd and 3rd Shift opportunities only</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate CNC-15 different CNC machines on the floor for plasma, laser and oxy cutting for both plate and shapes, grinder</li>\n <li>Burners-working with oxy propane and plasma torches to create & bend the steel plates</li>\n <li>Formers-forming rolls & c-frame press utilizing press brakes ranging from 65 ton to 5K ton</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Transportation-trained and certified in forklift and 50 ton overhead cranes in order to maneuver steel throughout the department.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Some of the Benefits we provide to you include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental, Vision</li>\n <li>401K Plan</li>\n <li>Paid Vacation and holidays</li>\n <li>Shift Premium</li>\n <li>Health and Wellness Programs</li>\n <li>Commuter/Van Services/Ripta</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li>\n <li>Advancement Opportunities</li>\n <li>Safety Boot Reimbursement Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.</em></strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>High school diploma or equivalent OR a minimum of 2 years related technical experience</p></li>\n <li>Available to work all shifts</li>\n <li>Ability to  read Basic blueprints and interpretation for layout, forming & shipyard procedures</li>\n <li>Ability to perform and use basic math and measuring tools to perform initial layout and verification of final dimensions</li>\n <li>Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Construction background and/or relevant experience or training</li>\n <li>Experience in steel forming and steel cutting</li>\n <li>Hand/Power tool usage(grinders, sanders, hand torches, general tools)</li>\n <li>Shipfitting, Carpentry or Metal Fabrication</li>\n <li>Lifting and Handling (Overhead Cranes, Forklifts etc.)</li>\n <li>CNC experience with cutting/forming equipment. </li>\n <li>Experience with bending steel plates, oxy propane or plasma cutting equipment and band saw cutting operations</li>\n <li>Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs</li>\n <li>Military</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational goals</li>\n <li>Effective communication with all shipmates</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Qualifications</h2>Climbing, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting\n<h2>Environmental Attributes</h2>Acids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet",
