    "description": "<h2>Overview </h2>\n<p>The <strong>Manager, Facilities and Security</strong> manages and coordinate day-to-day facility maintenance operations across assigned sites. Responsible for the upkeep, repair, and operational readiness of building systems, equipment, and grounds. Supports the Director of Facilities & Security in executing maintenance programs, vendor management, and regulatory compliance in alignment with company policies and applicable safety standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Onsite role based out of our Lakewood, NJ location</strong></em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee daily facility maintenance activities including preventive maintenance schedules, repair work, and inspections of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and structural).</li>\n <li>Supervise, schedule, and direct maintenance technicians and contracted service providers; assign and prioritize work orders to ensure timely resolution.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in asset management and work order systems.</li>\n <li>Support compliance with DEA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company safety policies across all facilities.</li>\n <li>Assist in soliciting bids, evaluating vendor proposals, and managing service contracts for maintenance, repair, and facilities-related procurement.</li>\n <li>Monitor lease terms and coordinate with building owners to ensure proper upkeep and resolution of facility-related issues.</li>\n <li>Respond promptly to facility alarms, environmental alerts, and after-hours emergencies; escalate issues to the Director as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Support facility projects including renovations, space reconfigurations, and equipment installations; coordinate work with internal teams and contractors.</li>\n <li>Assist in managing contract security operations, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and access control procedures.</li>\n <li>Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to facilities maintenance and building operations.</li>\n <li>Coordinate conference room setups, employee relocations, and general facilities support for business operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure safe working conditions for all associates; identify and promptly address potential safety or environmental hazards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>The above duties are meant to be representative of the position and not all-inclusive.</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS</u>:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education/Training:</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Education/Training: associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Technical training or certification in facilities management, HVAC, electrical, or a related trade is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Business Experience</strong>:  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience: Minimum four (4) years of facilities maintenance or building operations experience, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead role. Experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or regulated environment preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</u>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of safety (OSHA) and regulatory requirements Technical skills: Hands-on experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, and general property maintenance required.</li>\n <li>Read, interpret and understand detailed repair and instruction/service manuals, documents or blueprints.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with job-specific machinery and equipment.</li>\n <li>Experienced in and comfortable with safe operation of scissor lifts, forklifts and other material handling equipment normally present in a warehouse at heights up to 35’.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Experience with multi-facility maintenance and security.</li>\n <li>Familiar with best practices in procurement in support of manufacturing.</li>\n <li>Must possess good mechanical, electronic and computer skills and be comfortable documenting work in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).</li>\n <li>Experienced with advanced multi-facility environmental control systems.</li>\n <li>Excellent problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Multi-tasker -balancing objectives along with issue resolution and day to day activities.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills including but not limited to documentation, presentation and facilitation skills and training and instructions.</li>\n <li>Electro-mechanical aptitude, certification or education preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be physically able to access roof-top air handling systems, building grounds and run-off collection areas, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Frequently required to stand or sit.</li>\n <li>Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.</li>\n <li>Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.</li>\n <li>Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.</li>\n <li>Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 45 pounds.</li>\n <li>May be required to respond to after-hours emergencies or facility needs outside of normal business hours.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>",
