Description
The YMCA of Greater New York is here for all New Yorkers — to empower youth, improve health, and strengthen community. Founded in 1852, today the Y serves a diverse population of more than half a million New Yorkers who learn, grow, and thrive through programs and services at our 24 branches. Community is the cornerstone of the Y. Together, we connect active, engaged New Yorkers to build stronger communities. To help fulfill our mission, we cultivate a culture of learning, leading, and collaboration to enhance community impact. Through our talented staff and “LEAP” career framework (Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, Personal Growth), we are committed to a people-first approach that fosters trust, inclusion, growth, and development for all. The YMCA of Greater New York Association Office is seeking a Fund Development Intern to support the Development team in executing fundraising events, advancing donor engagement and stewardship, and strengthening institutional fundraising pipelines through research and data management. This internship will run from June 8, 2026, through July 31, 2026. Key Responsibilities: Support the planning and execution of a variety of Fund Development cultivation events, including our major summer fundraising event, Golf Gala. Assist with Gala Golf materials, including auction website setup, item tracking, and production of event collateral. Provide general event staffing and day-of support across Development-led events. Research institutional funders and support pipeline Development efforts. Assist with donor stewardship activities, including the creation of outreach materials and tracking engagement. Support Salesforce data entry, cleanup, and reporting to ensure accurate donor records. Provide administrative and project-based support as needed across the Development team. Desired Skills Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong writing, communication, and research skills. Strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and comfortable working with both internal and external contacts. How to Apply: If you would like to be a member of our dynamic team, please complete our online application and submit your résumé and a thoughtful cover letter that explains your interest in the role and our organization. If you are a current YMCA employee, please submit your application through the Internal Career Site in Cornerstone.
