The recommendation may result in competing opinions and recommendations from the Department, as well as other organizations and persons involved in the life of the child.</span></p><p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>ESSENTIONAL FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Coordinate and facilitate multidisciplinary staffing&rsquo;s in person or remotely and send notifications to all participants who are required to attend.</li><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Review of prior and current history of child(ren) prior the MDT staffing in an effort to make an informed decision.</li><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Mediate disagreement during MDT staffing to ensure effective communication between participating individuals by using conflict resolution and collaborative problem- solving skills to ensure that the child and family remain the primary focus of each MDT staffing.</li><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assist participants in using the strengths within the family when determining and establishing goals for the child; confirm best interest factors and specific information related to a child 3 years of age or younger are considered during the multidisciplinary staffing.</li><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Provide notification to the courts through Children&rsquo;s Legal Services and DCF Regional staff within 48 hours after the conclusion of the staffing when a unanimous consensus could not be reached by all parties.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Develop written report for the court that outline the overall decisions of the multidisciplinary staffing&rsquo;s and the feedback of each individual participant. &nbsp;The court will be notified if the parties are unable to reach consensus during the staffing.</li><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with organizations and other agencies involved with child welfare such as community-based care providers, Children&rsquo;s Legal Services, Guardian ad Litem, schools, clinical professionals, Department of Juvenile Justice, and other community agency resources.</li><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Maintain an organized tracking system to account for each multidisciplinary staffing and confirm participation of required attendees.</li><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;Document the outcome of multidisciplinary staffing&rsquo;s in the Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) System.</li><li style=\"color: black; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Review Florida Statutes, DCF Operational Procedures, Administrative Rule and policies. Ensure participants are aware of confidentiality and HIPAA, and identify potential problems related to case specifics.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left: 0.5in; line-height: 1.5; background: white; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; color: black; font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p><p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></span></p><p style=\"margin-right: -0.9pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Master&rsquo;s degree in social services or related field and at a minimum of one (1) in child welfare is preferred. &nbsp;A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in social services or related field, and a three (3) years&rsquo; experience in Child Welfare can be substituted for a master&rsquo;s degree. Strong organizational and data management skills required.&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin-right: -0.9pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><u>Licenses &amp; Certifications</u></span></p><p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.5;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Possess a current Background Clearance Screening Letter as required by Florida Statute and DCF.
