If you have experience in VDOT, MDOT, DDOT, or WMATA construction inspection and management, we want to hear from you!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking multiple highly motivated and detail-oriented <strong>Construction Inspectors</strong> with 3–6 years of experience to oversee and document construction activities in accordance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes. The ideal candidates should have a strong working knowledge of construction practices, materials, and standards, and can independently monitor work for compliance while maintaining clear communication with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Apply through this site or send resume to </strong><strong>[email protected]</strong><strong>.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Conduct field inspections of construction work to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor and document progress on various phases of construction (e.g., site prep, concrete, structural, utilities, roadways).</p></li>\n <li><p>Review contractor submittals, materials, and workmanship to verify adherence to project standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, daily logs, photos, and field notes.</p></li>\n <li><p>Identify, document, and report non-conformances and assist in resolving construction issues.</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in progress meetings and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure compliance with environmental and safety protocols.</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist with quantity verification for payment estimates and change order evaluations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred.</p></li>\n <li>Experience with VDOT, MDOT, DDOT, or WMATA construction projects preferred.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with VDOT Road and Bridge specifications and OSHA safety standards.</li>\n <li><p>3–6 years of experience in construction inspection or field engineering roles.</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with construction documents, standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, AASHTO), and relevant local building codes.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proficiency in inspection documentation and construction management software (e.g., SiteManager, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, MS Office, etc.).</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong understanding of construction safety procedures and best practices.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.</p></li>\n <li><p>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</p></li>\n <li><p>Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>M&J is a leader in providing quality engineering consulting services to a diverse and exciting client base.
