    "description_html": "<p><strong>Job Title: Athletic Trainer</strong></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Summary</strong></u></p><p>IBJI Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) are an integral part of a fast-paced orthopedic practice that must excel in IBJI’s core values of patient-centric care, musculoskeletal care, and teamwork. The role of the ATC functions as a liaison between patients, athletes, physicians, physical therapists, and administration. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing superior care to patients and clients, providing athletic training coverage at various events, and educating the public on health-related awareness/prevention topics. All responsibilities should be performed while maintaining the highest standard of care and integrity in order to provide the best community experience possible.</p><p><u><strong>Responsibilities</strong></u></p><ul><li>Promote and provide excellent patient care.</li><li>Develop positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI.</li><li>Communicate with physicians, clinical staff, coaches and parents regarding patient conditions, plan of care, treatments, and protocols.</li><li>Develop rehabilitation and treatment regimens in conjunction with physician recommendations.</li><li>Proper referral of patients for appropriate diagnostic and follow-up procedures and subsequent injury tracking.</li><li>Compliance with completing daily paperwork and maintaining patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).</li><li>Participates in programs sponsored by IBJI: clinical meetings, mentoring, clinical educator, special interest groups, community outreach.</li><li>Prevention, recognition, evaluation, triage, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of all athletic injuries for patients and athletes of varying ages.</li><li>Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics</li><li>Ability to perform DME brace fitting and educate patients with proper donning and doffing.</li><li>Outreach ATCs are expected to provide medical coverage at games, practices and/or tournaments. These events will be scheduled with the Athletic Training Program Coordinator and may include weekend and/or evening events.</li><li>Return voicemail and email messages in a timely manner.</li><li>Attend continuing education seminars to keep Illinois license in good standing.</li><li>Always follow HIPAA/OSHA guidelines and regulations.</li><li>Other duties may be assigned at any time by the supervisor</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
