The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, accreditation management, research, student advising, and service activities within MPH and DrPH programs. This position is designed for an individual with strong expertise in public health education, health policy, and doctoral-level instruction, as well as a capability to manage accreditation and academic administration.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Teaching</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will primarily teach courses within the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program. Teaching responsibilities will include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Health policy and related public health systems courses</li>\n <li>DrPH courses in ethics, leadership, doctoral research seminars, and related areas</li>\n <li>Selected Master of Public Health (MPH) courses in biostatistics and epidemiology</li>\n <li>Other or graduate public health courses as assigned</li>\n <li>Developing and teaching a course focused on AI Applications and Ethics in Public Health</li>\n <li>Contributing to curriculum development, assessment, and continuous program improvement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Accreditation and Program Administration</strong></p>\n<p>A major responsibility of this position will be managing and supporting activities related to Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation, including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinating accreditation documentation and reporting</li>\n <li>Assisting with annual assessment activities and continuous quality improvement processes</li>\n <li>Supporting preparation of self-study materials and accreditation reports</li>\n <li>Maintaining compliance with CEPH standards and reporting timelines</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Administrative responsibilities will also include assisting with program operations, scheduling, and departmental initiatives</p>\n<p><strong>Research, Scholarship, and Service</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will maintain an active program of scholarship and participate in institutional, professional, and community service activities. Responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducting and disseminating scholarly research</li>\n <li>Pursuing external funding opportunities where appropriate</li>\n <li>Participating in departmental, school, and university committees</li>\n <li>Contributing to professional and community engagement activities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Student Advising and Dissertation Mentorship</strong></p>\n<p>The faculty member will advise both MPH and DrPH students and will be expected to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as a DrPH dissertation chair and committee member</li>\n <li>Mentor doctoral students through applied research and professional development</li>\n <li>Support student academic progress and career planning</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Earned PhD, DrPH, MD, or equivalent terminal degree in public health or a closely related field</li>\n <li>Ability to teach at the graduate and doctoral levels</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and administrative skills</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with CEPH accreditation processes and reporting</li>\n <li>Experience developing or teaching courses related to artificial intelligence, data analytics, or ethics in public health</li>\n <li>Experience with governmental grants, Joint Commission reporting, or related compliance activities</li>\n <li>Record of scholarly publications, grant activity, or applied public health leadership</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Stata and other statistical software packages;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The Department seeks candidates committed to excellence in teaching, mentorship, scholarship, and public health practice.
