Find your dream job and make it snow!</span></p><p></p><p><b>WORK SCHEDULE:</b></p><ul><li><p>During the Snowmaking season, (mid-October - January) this position is required to work from midnight to noon on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Thursday.</p></li><li><p>The rest of the year the work schedule is Monday through Thursday working four ten-hour shifts from 6:00am-4:00pm</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b> ESSENTIAL DUTIES: During the Snowmaking season (mid-October – January)</b></p><ul><li><p>Instruct, direct, assist, and consult with crews with the goal of helping them to successfully complete their assignments in a safe, effective, and efficient manner</p></li><li><p>Maintenance and repair of all snow making equipment, and infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Assist in planning snowmaking field operations</p></li><li><p>Operate snowmaking equipment, snowmobiles, and snow cats as necessary in support of snowmaking operations</p></li><li><p>Meet, brief and de-brief snowmaking crews at shift change</p></li><li><p>Ensure that snowmaking facilities are kept in a clean, organized, and functional condition</p></li><li><p>Advocate for snowmaking personnel</p></li><li><p>Advise superiors of any situations or conditions that might influence the safety, efficiency, or moral of snowmaking employees</p></li><li><p> Suggest plans and actions to maximize these conditions</p></li><li><p>Process and manage any documents that may be necessary from time to time. These include but are not limited to; Maintenance records, Incident and Accident reports, Snowmobile and Snow Cat work orders, and Safety Suggestions</p></li><li><p>Ensure that snowmaker equipment is assigned to snowmaking personnel and that a record of such assignment is taken and kept.  Likewise, ensure that such equipment is returned and accounted for at the end of the snowmaking season</p></li><li><p>Monitor weather forecasts and conditions and assist in making decisions based thereon as to where and when to commence or cease snowmaking operations</p></li><li><p>Assist with the planning and preparation of the annual snowmaking orientation and help with all aspects of its presentation</p></li><li><p>Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements</p></li><li><p>Other duties, as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES: During the remainder of the year</b></p><ul><li><p>Perform preventative maintenance, service, calibration, and repairs of all types of snowmaking equipment</p></li><li><p>Assist with any new construction or expansion of snowmaking infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Make Snow as needed</p></li><li><p>Repair air and water hydrants</p></li><li><p>Inspect, repair, and/or replace hydrants in field</p></li><li><p>Perform minor building maintenance such as cleaning and painting</p></li><li><p>Organize and maintain snowmaker equipment such as hydrant wrenches, helmets, headlights, utility belts, etc.</p></li><li><p>Complete work orders and any other paperwork required for the work assigned</p></li><li><p>Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements</p></li><li><p>Other duties, as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><ul><li><p>2 years of snowmaking experience required</p></li><li><p>Snowmobile certification (may be acquired after hiring) ATV’s (may be acquired after hiring) required</p></li><li><p>Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</b></p><ul><li><p>High school diploma or GED equivalent</p></li></ul><p></p><p>The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski &amp; Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski &amp; Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees.
