Within the Technology Team, you’ll partner with our global team of engineers and product managers designing, architecting, building, and testing impactful products. The Engineer will contribute to our product vision by delivering a high level of quality and technical excellence. Success will require fluency in SaaS-based application development, test automation, analytical skills, and unwavering dedication to software quality.  </p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Contribute to design, development, and delivery of releasable, high-quality software  </li>\n <li>Author code aligned with internal standards and guidance from architects to ensure maintainability and consistency across our products </li>\n <li>Use AI tools responsibly (e.g., code assistance, test generation, analysis, and documentation) to accelerate velocity and improve quality while validation outputs and ownership of contributions to the customer experience</li>\n <li>Develop, maintain, and update automated test systems as functionality changes during the evolution of our products </li>\n <li>Assess the impact of changes by actively engaging in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions with engineering and product teams </li>\n <li>Monitor application performance in production and non-production environments </li>\n <li>Debug and resolve application errors and performance issues  </li>\n <li>Continuously learn about new tools and technologies </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>We’re Excited to Learn More About You</strong>  </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>We’re looking for someone who: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work from an Applied Systems office on an ad hoc basis, with remote workdays for deep work.      </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Your experience should include some or all of the following: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Associate Software Engineer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1-3 Years of hands-on backend experience with Golang, contributing to microservices (gRPC & REST APIs) and backend systems in a cloud-based environment with messaging/pub-sub components</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of cloud platforms (strong preference for GCP, with AWS or Azure acceptable), including exposure to Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines</li>\n <li>Experience supporting data pipelines and backend services, with some exposure to AI/ML workflows or integrations in production or near-production environments</li>\n <li>Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including software development life cycles, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Software Engineer position requires:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3+ Years of hands-on backend experience with Golang, contributing to microservices (gRPC & REST APIs) and backend systems in a cloud-based environment with messaging/pub-sub components</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of cloud platforms (strong preference for GCP, with AWS or Azure acceptable), including exposure to Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines</li>\n <li>Experience supporting data pipelines and backend services, with some exposure to AI/ML workflows or integrations in production or near-production environments</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum, and tools like Jira and Confluence</li>\n <li>Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including software development life cycles, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate in a team-oriented environment to clarify requirements and deliver solutions within committed timelines</li>\n <li>Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems — pub/sub messaging, async job processing, or streaming pipelines.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We know that talent comes from all backgrounds and experience levels. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone’s depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities.
