Fa<em>ct</em>ors which may affe<em>ct</em> starting pay within this ran<em>ge</em> may include <em>ge</em>ography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>The <em>Relay Technician</em> II perfo<em>rms</em> ele<em>ct</em>rical testing, maintenance and troubleshooting relays in ele<em>ct</em>rical power stations under minimal supervision. Your duties involve using relay test equipment and tools to test different types of relays inside the ele<em>ct</em>rical substation. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Leader in Safety Culture and responsible for other team members. </li>\n <li>Perform installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of protective relaying equipment. </li>\n <li>Develop written standard commissioning, testing and maintenance procedures for protective relaying. </li>\n <li>Perform function testing of substation control circuits on relay panel, transformers & circuit breakers. </li>\n <li>Develop relay macros and testing routines with confirmation of proper protection and control design. </li>\n <li>Perform end-to-end relay testing using relay test software and analyze the operation of the relay based on the fault type run. </li>\n <li>Examine relay settings and logic equations for confirmation of system operation in accordance with design. </li>\n <li>Develop testing and isolation procedures for an outage. </li>\n <li>Perform Communication Installations and Testing (SCADA, GOOSE, Modbus, Fiber, etc.) </li>\n <li>Perform Circuit Analysis (Equipment Protective Relays, Instrumentation Transformers, AC, DC, & System) </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills/Abilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen due to this being a safety sensitive position.</p></li>\n <li>Complete a satisfactory criminal background check. </li>\n <li>Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time. </li>\n <li>Must have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record. </li>\n <li>Hands on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays in transmission, generation or distribution level substations. </li>\n <li>Capable of trouble shooting distribution and transmission controls circuits. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of relay test software. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills/Abilities: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li>\n <li>Experience installing, maintaining, testing, or repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, or similar equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/Electronic technology, Military Experience, or 4-year Engineering Degree, preferred </li>\n <li>NETA II Certified, preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, able to lift 70 lbs. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EPS is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration for employment to all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, disability, sex (including pregnancy, <em>ge</em>nder identity and sexual orientation), political affiliation, military service, national origin, a<em>ge</em> or any other chara<em>ct</em>eristics prote<em>ct</em>ed by state or federal laws. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EPS does not work with individual recruiters or third party recruiting a<em>ge</em>ncies, and will not recognize claim to any unsolicited resumes or candidate information</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#PoweringTheFuture</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>  </p>",
