    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">We are excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">International Behavior Technician® (IBT) Certification Course.</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">An IBT<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">®</span> is a paraprofessional who supports the learning needs of individuals with autism or related developmental or intellectual disabilities. An IBT<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">®</span> works under close supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or International Behavior Analyst (IBA) in clinical, educational, or community settings.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">The IBT® is a certification earned through the International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO). The Wellness Centre is proud to be an IBAO Approved Content Provider for the IBT<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">®</span> Certification. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training Component 1: </span></span></p>\n<p>The IBT<span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">®</span></span> Certification Course will provide each trainee with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">40hrs of education</span> on topics related to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disabilities</li>\n<li>Behavior Basics</li>\n<li>Data Collection</li>\n<li>Assistance in Assessment Procedures</li>\n<li>Teaching Skills</li>\n<li>Challenging Behaviors</li>\n<li>Professionalism</li>\n<li>Culture and Ethics</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training Component 2:</span></span></p>\n<p>The IBT<span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">®</span></span> Certification Course will provide each trainee with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">300hrs of Supervised Fieldwork</span> at The Wellness Centre. Fieldwork provides each trainee with hands on practical experience working with clients across the age range and in multiple settings. During fieldwork trainee's will be exposed to client relationship building, assessment, treatment planning, data collection, and a multidisciplinary team approach. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training Component 3:</span></span></p>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">IBT<span style=\"font-size: 14px\">®</span> Certification Exam</span> is the final step in the training course.
