Description

Overview We are seeking a ICU/CCU Clinical Supervisor, also referred to as an RN Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor collaborates with the unit Director or Manager to support and oversee departmental operations, including staff supervision, training, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, communication, and ensuring quality patient care and efficient function, while assuming administrative responsibilities in their absence. Clinical RN Supervisor will supervise and support nursing staff, coordinate patient care with the healthcare team and manage critical incidents. Shift’s Available: Days Employment Type: Full Time Hours: 8hr shifts - Variable Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, AL Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options Employer 401K options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Oversee daily nursing operations in the emergency department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow Supervise and support nursing staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations Coordinate patient care activities between nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to optimize treatment and patient flow Monitor compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards specific to emergency care Manage critical incidents and assists in handling complex or high-acuity patient situations Communicate with patients, families, and staff to address concerns and provide updates on care processes Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness planning for the department Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: Current and valid state Registered Nurse license. Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current. FACILITY / UNIT TRAINING 1. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care.2. Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained.3. Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred. Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
