Enjoy <strong>weekly</strong> pay with the opportunity to grow in a team orientated work environment!</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><br></span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>The Position:&nbsp;</strong>The Sleep Technologist Trainee &ndash; Day Shift performs supervised polysomnographic-related duties in accordance with <strong>American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards and facility policies</strong>. This role supports daytime clinical operations, including home sleep testing (HST), Multiple Sleep Latency Testing (MSLT), patient education, data management, and coordination of care, while completing structured training toward eligibility for the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential. All duties are performed under the supervision of a credentialed RPSGT and/or physician, consistent with training level and demonstrated competency. This position will float to all PAR Sleep locations.</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><br></span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Job Responsibilities for Sleep Technologist Trainee-Day Shift:</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Assist with preparation, setup, and distribution of home sleep testing (HST) equipment</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Assist with the setup and performance of Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLTs), including patient preparation, monitoring, and documentation, under the supervision of a credentialed sleep technologist and/or physician&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Provide patient education on proper use of HST devices to ensure understanding and compliance&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Receive, download, and process HST data for physician interpretation&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Review study data for completeness and escalate concerns as appropriate&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Perform accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Assist with CPAP/APAP device downloads and prepare reports for provider review&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Support mask fittings and patient education related to PAP therapy as directed&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Maintain inventory, including cleaning, disinfection, and proper storage of equipment in accordance with infection control standards&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating replacements as needed&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, and team members to support patient care workflows&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Assist with administrative and clinical tasks to support efficient lab operations (messages, follow-ups, coordination)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Adhere to HIPAA requirements, facility policies, and AASM accreditation standards&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Participate in required education, competency validation, and ongoing training&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Complete clinical hours, logs, and documentation required for registry eligibility&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong><u>Qualifications for Sleep Technologist Trainee-Day Shift&nbsp;</u></strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Completion of an A-STEP program designated by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) or another Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)-recognized pathway required to obtain RPSGT eligibility.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Ability to work any day shift, weekends, and holidays as scheduled</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Basic computer skills and ability to learn sleep lab software systems</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 16px;\">Must obtain the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential within 12 months <u>after hire</u> as a condition of continued employment.
