Quality Specialist in Hodges, SC 2nd Shift 2pm to 10:30pm Pay: $17.75 per hour Full-Time, Biweekly Pay, and Benefits Must be available to training on 1st Shift (Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm) $16.50 per hour then transition to 2nd Shift Monday- Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm   $17.00 + $0.75 shift differential Looking for an opportunity to make a real difference and to join a growing organization? As a Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for audits where you will analyze special problems arising from faulty methods and recommend corrective measures. You are also responsible for meeting all safety, quality and productivity standard Job Duties/Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to) Performing a variety of inspection functions to check quality and accuracy of in-process parts Inspects and accepts and/or rejects purchased gauges or gaging equipment Analyze special problems arising from faulty methods Performs salvage weld operations on miscellaneous parts Lays out parts using advanced mathematical calculations and precision inspection equipment REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous quality experience Previous assembly or machine operating experience Ability to work various shifts and flexible hours Job Information PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, flashes, burns, eyestrain and sparks from welder and grinder. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat while welding in hot weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
