Senior Project & Corporate Accountant Location: Hybrid – Seattle, WA Reports To: Chief Financial Officer About the Role We are a fast-growing, vertically integrated real estate company focused on affordable housing development, construction, and property management across the Pacific Northwest. We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Senior Project & Corporate Accountant to support our expanding platform and growing pipeline of development projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who thrives in fast-paced environments and is excited about construction and real estate development work. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to operate independently while partnering closely with executive leadership. For candidates based in the Seattle area, real estate accounting experience is highly valued, and training can be provided on construction job costing. For remote or overseas candidates, prior construction or job cost accounting experience is strongly preferred. The role requires at least 6 hours of overlap with Pacific Time to ensure strong collaboration across teams. What You’ll Be Responsible For Construction Accounting Maintain job cost accounting across multiple active construction projects Track budgets vs. actuals, committed costs, and forecasted costs Ensure accurate cost coding across jobs and cost categories Partner with construction and project managers to maintain real-time cost visibility Produce monthly job cost reports and variance analyses Development Accounting Prepare and manage lender draw packages (AIA/G702/G703 or equivalent) Track sources & uses, capital flows, and development budgets Maintain development entity books and support investor/lender reporting Coordinate with lenders, capital partners, and internal stakeholders Ensure compliance with financing requirements and reporting timelines Corporate Accounting Maintain general ledger and monthly close for corporate entities with support from offshore teams Manage intercompany transactions and allocations Support internal financial reporting Prepare corporate cash forecasts and cash position analyses Prepare owner capital calls and distribution requests Review reconciliations for corporate credit cards and shared intercompany expenses Support ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed Team & Collaboration Potentially manage an accounting assistant Establish and maintain scalable accounting processes and controls Work closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams to improve reporting and workflows Collaborate directly with construction, development, and management teams Preferred Qualifications Strong accounting foundation with senior-level accounting experience Experience in real estate development, construction accounting, or job cost accounting Experience with multifamily or residential projects preferred Familiarity with construction loan processes and lender reporting requirements Corporate or fund accounting experience within real estate is a plus Experience with AppFolio or similar accounting software preferred Self-starter with strong ownership mentality and problem-solving skills Excited to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment What This Role Is A hands-on, execution-focused accounting role Ideal for someone who values accuracy, accountability, and ownership A key contributor in building scalable finance and accounting operations An opportunity to work directly with leadership and gain exposure across development, construction, and property management Why Join Us Direct exposure to active development and construction projects Opportunity to work across management, construction, and development within one integrated platform Help build systems and processes in a mission-driven, high-growth company Work closely with an experienced CFO and leadership team Be part of a company focused on delivering below-market rents while achieving above-market investor returns About Us We are a fully integrated real estate platform focused on the development, ownership, and management of multifamily housing throughout the Pacific Northwest.
