The role includes direct mental health services, counseling, and coordination with school staff and community partners to support student well-being, academic performance, and social-emotional development.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Direct Services</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide individual, group, and family counseling</li>\n<li>Conduct assessments, interviews, and classroom observations</li>\n<li>Develop and monitor individual behavior and academic support plans</li>\n<li>Support students with issues affecting school performance and well-being</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaboration &amp; Consultation</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with school teams (SST, IEP, 504 teams), staff, parents, and agencies</li>\n<li>Participate in student support meetings and IEPs as needed</li>\n<li>Connect families with school-based or community mental health resources</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Crisis &amp; Prevention Support</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in suicide prevention, threat assessments, and crisis intervention</li>\n<li>Lead or support in-service training for students, staff, and parents</li>\n<li>Promote mental health awareness and stigma reduction strategies</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reporting &amp; Documentation</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and maintain accurate case notes and reports</li>\n<li>Collect and analyze student outcomes to evaluate service effectiveness</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with timelines and confidentiality requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Knowledge</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Child and adolescent development</li>\n<li>Mental health diagnosis, treatment, and counseling techniques</li>\n<li>Special education law and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)</li>\n<li>Behavioral strategies and social-emotional learning supports</li>\n<li>Community mental health resources</li>\n<li>Crisis counseling and intervention methods</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills &amp; Abilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards</li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders</li>\n<li>Work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams</li>\n<li>Conduct mental health assessments and counseling</li>\n<li>Manage time and documentation efficiently</li>\n<li>Provide training and workshops to staff and parents</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visual and auditory ability to interact and communicate</li>\n<li>Operate office equipment and computers</li>\n<li>Sit, stand, bend, lift (up to 20 lbs.), and move around school sites</li>\n<li>Travel between school locations as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Licensed Clinical Social Worker and/or Marriage and Family Therapist </li>\n<li>Valid California driver’s license</li>\n<li>Fingerprint clearance (DOJ/FBI)</li>\n<li>Physical exam clearance</li>\n<li>First Aid/CPR certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>2+ years experience working with school-age children in educational or mental health settings</li>\n<li>Experience with school-based counseling programs or student support services</li>\n</ul>",
