You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects, with a focus on continuous development of technical skills, as well as providing opportunities to develop project management skills.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Dillon, we operate as one team. This position is available at our Dillon<strong> Yellowknife office.  </strong>We offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Project Coordination & Design</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Produce preliminary and detailed design of municipal infrastructure, land development projects and transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team including engineers and technologists. </li>\n <li>Develop engineering drawings for private and municipal stakeholders including (but not limited to) storm / sanitary / water servicing plans, grading designs, road profiles and cross section details for greenfield and reconstruction projects. </li>\n <li>Prepare and/or review technical reports and calculations to support the design process including storm and sanitary sewer design tables, functional servicing reports, and volume calculations.</li>\n <li>Assist in project delivery by preparing specifications and documentation for construction tender packages including quantity take offs, traffic control plans and review of shop drawings.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with sub consultants. </li>\n <li>Attend/ participate in project team meetings.</li>\n <li>Assist with other duties such as on-site work as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Learning and Development</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.</li>\n <li>Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What you will need to succeed</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and a valid registration as a Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) or Certified Technician (CTech), or eligible for registration within six months, is considered an asset but not a requirement.</li>\n <li>2-5 year's work experience, with prior consulting engineering and/or municipal/land development experience considered an asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in the use of current AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.</li>\n <li>Exhibit Knowledge of the functional and detailed design of roads, sewers, water mains and drainage works including relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards and regulatory requirements. </li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, including the ability work in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask on various projects.</li>\n <li>Previous experience using Bluebeam Revu is considered an asset but not a requirement.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Why choose Dillon</strong></p>\n<p>Dillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
