    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>In partnership with the nursing unit staff, provides direct observation of patients who require 1:1 care. Some examples include patients at high risk for falls and patients on suicide precautions.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding person, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of DRMC.</li>\n <li>Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and DRMC.</li>\n <li>Must report hazards and initiate appropriate action.</li>\n <li>Must participate in safety instructional programs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The above statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the essential functions of this position as identified, and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the position.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> Ability to read and write and exhibit proficiency in nursing assistant care and oral communication skills.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong> </p>•Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant, preferably in the area of application. •Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards under the supervision of an RN. •Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p><strong>DeKalb Regional Medical Center</strong> celebrated its 35th anniversary in October 2021. It was also awarded the 2023 Get with the Guidelines Rural Stroke Bronze Quality Award from the American Heart Association. In fall of 2023, DeKalb Regional was one of seven hospitals in Alabama to receive an “A” grade from The Leapfrog Group. </p>\n<p>DeKalb Regional Medical Center has 500 employees and more than 100 members of the medical staff.</p>",
