    "description_html": "<p><strong>THOR Solutions</strong> is seeking an experienced, mission-focused professional to support the Surface Warfare Engineering Schools Command (SWESC) as an <strong>Electrical Systems Instructor.</strong> This position supports SWESC providing operation, curriculum support (includes updates and maintenance of curriculum), administration, safety, and management support services for formalized naval training.<br><br>The Electrical Systems Instructor supports technical and military training for enlisted personnel of the U.S. and allied navies temporarily assigned to Naval Station Great Lakes for training. Accomplishes upgrades and improvements as needed. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:<br> </p><ul><li>Classroom Preparation: Prepare classrooms, workstations, and labs prior to instruction, ensuring all equipment is set up and instructional materials are available.</li><li>Operational Checks: Perform operational checks of classroom and lab training equipment, devices, and aids to ensure functionality and readiness.</li><li>Equipment Maintenance: Identify deficiencies or discrepancies in training equipment and instructional aids, including preventative and corrective maintenance needs. Submit written recommendations to the Training Authority (TA) and the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).</li><li>Inventory Management: Maintain an adequate inventory of instructional materials and student forms required for specific classes and labs.</li><li>Reporting Discrepancies: Document and report any material discrepancies or issues that may hinder teaching any section of the course through the SWSC/PMS 339/SLC Formal Course Review process.</li></ul><br><strong>Location:</strong> Onsite at the Surface Warfare Engineering School Command in Great Lakes, IL.<br><br><strong>Typical Physical Activity: </strong>Desk/computer work in an office environment and training/instructor work in a classroom environment. May involve: repetitive motion, hearing, or talking.<br><br><strong>Typical Pay Range:</strong> The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $27.51/hour base pay + $4.93/hour “health & welfare” payment, for a combined total $32.44/hour. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.<br><br><strong><u>Existing</u> Secret Security Clearance Required</strong>: This position requires an existing DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate will already possess an Active or Interim Secret security clearance.
