Description Repairing and maintaining sheet-metal components for mechanical and electronic systems, ensuring strict adherence to performance standards Applying advanced techniques such as welding, cutting, and bending to fabricate custom sheet-metal parts in alignment with design specifications Conducting inspections and quality checks on sheet-metal assemblies and components to identify defects or ensure compliance with standards Collaborating with technical teams to implement modifications or upgrades on sheet-metal systems to support project needs Preparing technical documentation and maintaining records of repair and fabrication activities to ensure traceability and compliance with DoD requirements FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING #LI-TF1 Requirements Four or more years of experience in a sheet-metal worker role High school diploma or GED Demonstrated ability to design, fabricate, and repair sheet-metal components for mechanical and electronic systems, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and DoD standards Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics for precise cutting, bending, and assembly of sheet-metal materials Proficiency in utilizing advanced equipment such as power rollers, presses, and welding tools for maintenance and repair operations Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance Desired Skills Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to aid in customization and adjustments during fabrication Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems involving sheet-metal components in operational environments Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing departments, for repair and maintenance initiatives Knowledge of quality assurance and process control standards for sheet-metal fabrication and maintenance processes Clearance Information SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL Travel Requirements To be determined About Us Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
