    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong><strong><br></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Remington &amp; Vernick Engineers is seeking a Construction inspector ensure that construction meets local and national building codes and ordinances, zoning regulations, and contract specifications. The ideal candidate for this position will have 5-8 years of Construction Observation experience. They will provide construction observation for municipalities, including water supply and distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection and treatment systems, storm sewer systems, and roadway construction.<br>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>PRIMARY DUTIES:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 17px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Act in the capacity of Resident Project Representative to assist Engineer in providing extensive observation of construction project and serve as Engineer&rsquo;s liaison with Contractor.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Attend pre-construction &amp; weekly job progress meetings.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct on-site observations of the work in progress to assist Engineer in determining if the work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents, both alone and/or as part of a team.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide and maintain all records related to the project in question including daily quantities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Keep a diary or logbook of all observations and daily activities for ongoing work and provide Engineer with daily reports to include all labor trades and equipment supplied by Contractor.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Review applications for payment with Contractor and confer with Engineer on recommendations for progress payments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare a final punch list at substantial completion and perform final project review for project closeout.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Construction and building inspectors examine worksites, both alone and as part of a team. Some inspectors climb ladders or crawl in tight spaces. Most work full time during regular business hours.</li></ul></div><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Applicants must have demonstrated experience in roadway construction and/or pavement restoration, drainage/storm sewer and/or water/wastewater, public sidewalk including ADA accessible curb ramps inspections. &nbsp;Contract administration experience a plus.</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with others and the public</li><li>Ability to read and understand construction plans and shop drawings</li><li>Self-motivated, organized, focused, with strong attention to detail</li><li>Possess good conflict resolution skills</li><li>Basic computer skills and be able to prepare daily reports using a tablet</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High School diploma or equivalent</li><li>Two-year technical or associate&rsquo;s degree in construction management</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li><li>NICET Certification or other related site civil construction and inspection certifications are a plus</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The employee may also be required to accrue and/ or renew the following certifications at the discretion of the Regional Manager after the date of hire</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>OSHA Certification 10/30</li><li>NICET Certification I, II, III</li><li>ACI - Field Technician Certification</li><li>New Jersey Society of Asphalt Technicians - Field Testing</li><li>NJDOT - Traffic Control Coordinator</li><li>Work Zone Safety</li><li>Confined Space Training</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is <strong>$55,000 - $82,500</strong>. This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location.
