The successful candidate will be located at Vancouver General Hospital and UBC Hospital.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our ER/TRAUMA section is one of the largest and most advanced academic Emergency Radiology groups in North America, and operates 24/7/365 from our reading room, which is centrally located within Vancouver General Hospital Emergency Department (ED).  Our department is fully digital with state-of-the-art equipment such as our third generation dual-source/ dual-energy CT.  All the members of our department are expected to engage fully in both the clinical and non-clinical activities of the section, including providing substantial contributions in research, education, and/or sectional administration.  Teaching requirements include training a bright group of Residents and Emergency Radiology Fellows annually.  We value our excellent collaborations with Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Trauma, Cardiology, Stroke and Critical care services along with our other radiology department subspecialty sections.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate will enjoy a challenging practice including CT, US, MRI and General Radiography in a PACS environment within VGH and UBC Hospitals. Apply today to join our team!</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Licensing, & Experience</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>All candidates must hold an MD degree (or equivalent), have completed Fellowship training in Emergency Trauma Radiology, and be eligible for licensure in the Province of British Columbia. </li>\n <li>All applicants must also be currently certified by, or eligible for certification by, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.</li>\n <li>Canadian Medical Protective Association – Mandatory </li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience in Cardiac CT with at least a Level 2 Cardiac CT certification.</li>\n <li>Accomplished track record in clinical teaching at the medical student, resident, and Fellowship level.</li>\n <li>Experience in all aspects of MRI and CT including body and neuroradiology.</li>\n <li>Experience in Dual-Energy CT.</li>\n <li>Experience and in-depth knowledge of contemporary low-dose CT techniques.</li>\n <li>Experience in working with and developing relationships in industry.</li>\n <li>Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Desired</li>\n <li>Anaesthesia experience – Desired </li>\n <li>Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) – Desired</li>\n <li>Proven academic track record with an established research portfolio is strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Fellowship training is strongly preferred, or several years of substantial Emergency Radiology experience in an accredited Level 1 Trauma Center.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge & Abilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of educational and radiological information technology systems.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated capacity to work efficiently in a high volume and fast paced practice.</li>\n <li>Willingness and capacity to image and interpret all organ systems including neurologic, thoracic, vascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, musculoskeletal, gynecologic, early obstetric, and cross cover other subspecialty sections.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Closing Statement</h2>\n<p>Interested in applying?
