Responsible for establishing strategic plans, policies and procedures to ensure quality systems and improvement efforts will meet or exceed internal and external customers&rsquo; needs and expectations.</p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong>: &nbsp;Supervises all Quality department employees and interns. &nbsp;Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the AFSI Quality function. &nbsp;Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization&#39;s policies and applicable laws. Please go to this link for more information on our benefits: <a href=\"https://afsifilters.com/opportunities/\" target=\"_blank\">https://afsifilters.com/opportunities/</a></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: &nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Plans and implements development of quality department functions and personnel</li><li>Determines need for and purchases test equipment required to meet quality objectives</li><li>Available for contact on an as-needed basis outside of normal office hours for customer, production, or personnel needs</li><li>Evaluates purchase requisitions from quality department staff for approval</li><li>Creates RMA&#39;s and issues credit for customer returns</li><li>Collaborates with other company leaders to conduct continuous improvement activities</li><li>Ensures internal and supplier specifications align with customer requirements as PCN, PPAP, APQP, and SQEP administrator</li><li>Acts as company quality liaison to the customer, providing timely and thorough resolution of customer complaints</li><li>Assists with the validation of new liquid filtration products for the customer</li><li>Establishes and maintains controlled document program</li><li>Manages quality inspection and product release programs for all materials and components, processes and finished goods</li><li>Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products</li><li>Plans and directs a quality control program which ensures continuous production of conformant finished goods</li><li>Implements and maintains internal Quality Management System (QMS) program and documentation</li><li>Acts as internal management representative in integrating QMS within organization</li><li>Develops and implements a quality plan to bring the company systems into compliance with the QMS requirements</li><li>Formulates quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with other managers to maximize product reliability</li><li>Utilizes a proactive, preventative approach to all quality issues</li><li>Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department</li><li>Administrates the corrective and preventive action system</li><li>Maintains FMEAs and process control plans</li><li>Manages quality assurance function in close cooperation with the customer and with internal management team</li><li>Collaborates with counterparts in EU plant to establish standardized Global Quality Policy</li><li>As part of supplier development, establishes quality requirements for external suppliers</li><li>Works closely with external suppliers to remediate chronically occurring supplier quality problems</li><li>Identifies relevant quality-related training needs and delivers training</li><li>Directs quality control training programs for key personnel</li><li>Ensures tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated</li><li>Works in a safe manner, following all safety policies and procedures while keeping in mind other&rsquo;s safety</li><li>Reports any accidents and potentially unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to appropriate supervisor</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands:&nbsp;</strong>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
