    "requisitionDescription": "<p id=\"isPasted\">Cross Guard</p><p>Responsible for making sure traffic at MSY Airport runs smoothly and efficiently. Customer service skills are a must. Cross Guard must be able to handle high volume traffic especially during weekends &amp; holidays. Quick problem solver and able to work well with others. Ideal for applicants with previous security experience. Previous experience a plus but not required.</p><p>40 hour a week shifts including weekends. Two shifts: 8:30AM-5:30PM; 5:30PM- 2:00 AM.</p><p>**This position requires being on your feet for 8 hours as well as being outside throughout the entire shift. Work in rain or shine, hot or cold**</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>- Safely guide pedestrians across designated crosswalks</p><p>- Ensure the safety of pedestrians by following traffic rules and regulations</p><p>- Monitor and manage pedestrian traffic flow during peak hours</p><p>- Communicate effectively with drivers and pedestrians to ensure a safe crossing experience</p><p>- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities</p><p>- Maintain a visible presence to deter unsafe behavior near the crosswalk</p><p>Skills:</p><p>- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pedestrians and drivers</p><p>- Strong observation skills to identify potential hazards or unsafe behavior</p><p>- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations</p><p>Responsibilities:<br>&nbsp;- Safely guide pedestrians, especially children, across designated crosswalks<br>&nbsp;- Monitor traffic flow and ensure the safety of pedestrians at all times<br>&nbsp;- Follow established procedures and guidelines for crossing guards<br>&nbsp;- Report any incidents or concerns to appropriate authorities<br>&nbsp;- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while on duty</p><p>Experience:<br>&nbsp;- Previous experience as a crossing guard or in a similar role is preferred<br>&nbsp;- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people</p><p>Please note that this position requires standing for extended periods of time and working in various weather conditions.
