It is through their efforts and talents that Titan has been successful for over 100 years.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Job Description: </strong></p>\n<p>Titan Virginia Ready Mix is currently seeking an experienced <strong>Maintenance Mechanic</strong> to work in Norfolk, VA. This is an hourly position reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The primary responsibility of this position is to repair and maintain machinery, both electronic and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and other plant and mobile equipment related to our concrete plants and facilities.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyzes required work orders and sketches in order to troubleshoot, repair and install equipment</li>\n <li>Make plant repairs and perform maintenance in a timely manner to ensure continuous operations</li>\n <li>Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, and scheduling</li>\n <li>Follow all applicable safety regulations and policies</li>\n <li>Identify multiple projects and prioritize work to maximize plant productivity</li>\n <li>Communicate clearly and effectively at various levels to obtain and provide information needed to accomplish goals</li>\n <li>Perform maintenance and repair of various types of plant equipment across various plant locations</li>\n <li>Maximize equipment availability through the use of efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Related experience and/or training in hydraulic systems, electrical, air conditioning, and pneumatics</li>\n <li>Previous experience doing preventative maintenance inspections and scheduling</li>\n <li>Previous welding, fabrication, and heavy equipment operation experience</li>\n <li>Strong mechanical skills and the ability to problem solve</li>\n <li>Ready-mix industry knowledge or related industry a plus</li>\n <li>Dedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the job</li>\n <li>Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair, certification preferred</li>\n <li>Dedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the job</li>\n <li>Must provide own tools</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Working Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times</li>\n <li>Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required</li>\n <li>Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.</li>\n <li>Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime</li>\n <li>Ability to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, physical and drug screen</li>\n <li>Travel between sites as needed, travel as much as 100% of the time</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Titan America LLC offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, matching 401K, paid vacation and holidays).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Titan America is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) / Affirmative Action employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
