    "description": "<h2>Basic Qualifications </h2>\n<p>Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:</strong>:</p>\n<p>Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities for this Position</h2>\n<p><strong>ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:</strong></p>\n<p>GDMS has an immediate opening for a Senior Power Converter Design Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.</p>\n<p>Senior Advanced Power Converter Design Engineers research, design, develop and test high-reliability power systems for electronic equipment and systems at GDMS including: radar detection/communications equipment and systems, circuitry components, computers, and Digital Signal Processing equipment. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The Senior Power Converter Design Engineer will: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance.</li>\n <li>Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers’ changing business needs.</li>\n <li>Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and other engineering teams</li>\n <li>Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDMS services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.</li>\n <li>Provide technical leadership and/or direction to junior designers</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience defining requirements and specifications</li>\n <li>Experience with schematic capture and simulation tools</li>\n <li>Experience designing multi-layer Printed Circuit Boards for power applications</li>\n <li>Experience with DC-DC power converter design for various converter topologies and point of load regulators</li>\n <li>Experience with Worst Case Analysis and Stress Analysis</li>\n <li>Test and trouble-shooting experience with power converter hardware</li>\n <li>Familiar with EMI/EMC design practices</li>\n <li>Demonstrates initiative on assignments, exercises strong independent judgment</li>\n <li>Able to technically lead/mentor junior engineers </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Preferred experience using Mentor/Siemens design tools</li>\n <li>High Reliability or Space design experience</li>\n <li>Proposal development experience</li>\n <li>Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Our Commitment to You:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development. </li>\n <li>Research oriented work, alongside award winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation’s security</li>\n <li>Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)</li>\n <li>Competitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and more</li>\n <li>See more at gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Workplace Options:</strong></p>\n<p>This position is fully on-site, OR Hybrid/Flex as desired.While on-site, you will be a part of the Scottsdale, AZ location</p>\n<p>#LI-Hybrid</p>\n<p>#CJ1</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Salary Note</h2>This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
