Prescription of assistive medical devices and treatments. Taking vital signs and medical information from patients. Medical diagnostic and clinical tests are ordered. Monitoring, reporting, and documenting changes in patient conditions. Non-intravenous drug administration. Working with healthcare team members to assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans. Adapting patient health treatment programs in response to changes in patient conditions and reactions. Requirements Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing is required. Pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Current state registered nursing licensing and BLS certification are required. BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association. ACLS accreditation. Capability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, physicians, and hospital staff. Basic computer abilities are required. Professionalism combined with friendliness. Home health care experience. Experience working in an emergency room or intensive care unit.
