    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Join our Guest House Team at Davidson College!&nbsp; The Carnegie Guest House is a bed and breakfast located on Davidson's campus.&nbsp; Guests are typically alumni of the college, parents of current students, or prospective students and their families.&nbsp; We are seeking a positive individual to perform general housekeeping, interact with our overnight guests, help set up breakfast each morning, occasionally helping with guest check-in, and support the supervising staff with day to day operations.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The position is part-time for 12-15 hours per week (4-5 hours per day for 3 days a week).&nbsp; Successful candidates will be able to work weekends.&nbsp; Basic computer skills are a plus.&nbsp; This position will be called upon to work independently at times.&nbsp; The Guest House team is a small, close-knit group and Davidson College is a terrific place to work!&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Clean, scrub, mop, shampoo and polish floors,&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Clean walls, windows, woodwork, venetian blinds, fixtures, carpets, entrance/exit mats and other surfaces.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Sweep and clean walkways&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Clean Showers in guest rooms</li>\n <li>Clean and disinfect restrooms&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Empty trash containers and sanitize such containers to meet college standards and sanitary requirements on as needed basis.</li>\n <li>Pull trash and recycling and place in assigned locations for pick up.</li>\n <li>Keep inventory of tools and supplies needed to complete all necessary task</li>\n <li>Work every other weekend and some holidays</li>\n <li>Maintain a welcoming environment for students/staff/guests</li>\n <li>Maintain good employee relations</li>\n <li>Makeovers/clean guest’s rooms</li>\n <li>Laundry</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Required Qualifications:</b></p>\n<p>HS Diploma and minimum one year experience</p>\n<p>Willingness to take directions but able to assess needs and take action when necessary</p>\n<p>Ability to work well as part of a team</p>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p>\n<p>Basic computer skills</p>\n<p>Ability to learn the reservation software</p>\n<p>Ability to work unsupervised if necessary</p>\n<p>Knowledge of the campus and surrounding area a plus</p>\n<p><b>To Apply:</b>&nbsp; Please go to&nbsp;<a href=\"https://employment.davidson.edu/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><u>https://employment.davidson.edu&nbsp;</u></a>and submit an online application with a resume.&nbsp; Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.</p>",
