In this integrated model our employees will work closely with providers and clinic staff collaboratively, providing team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component to provide optimal care for patients. VytlOne (Formerly Maxor National Pharmacy Services) manages the pharmacy.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>San Antonio Aids Foundation - </strong><strong>Compassonate Care since 1986</strong></p>\n<p><strong>SAAF Mission</strong>-To prevent the spread of HIV and provide comprehensive services to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. The San Antonio AIDS Foundation <strong>provides a continuum of care to low-income HIV-positive men, women and transgender individuals</strong>. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position, a full job description is available upon request<strong>):</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Interpret and fill drug orders.</li>\n<li>Provide patient information and counseling.</li>\n<li>In the absence of store Pharmacist-In-Charge/Pharmacy Manager, may be required to act as the alternate store leader, responsible for managing ongoing functions of the pharmacy.</li>\n<li>Contact and confer with physicians regarding questions or irregularities on prescriptions.</li>\n<li>Dispense prescriptions, compound, and prepare I.V. admixtures (if applicable).</li>\n<li>Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.</li>\n<li>Maintain patients’ medication records.</li>\n<li>Maintain inventory and records of controlled drugs and other drugs as required by law.</li>\n<li>Supervise pharmacy technicians in routine performance of their duties.</li>\n<li>Provide drug information to professional staff and patients as necessary.</li>\n<li>Participate in inventory control programs such as ordering, inventorying and monitoring correct pricing and quantities.</li>\n<li>Attend and participate in programs, committees, meetings, and functions as required by the facility or pharmacy.</li>\n<li>Participate in educational programs for professional staff as necessary.</li>\n<li>Participate in pharmacy orientation programs, pharmacy staff meetings and in-service educational programs.</li>\n<li>Participate in activities resolving unsafe and unsanitary practices.</li>\n<li>Exemplify excellence in customer communications and service.</li>\n<li>Work cooperatively with other staff members to enhance the team concept.</li>\n<li>Participate in the Performance Improvement Program.</li>\n<li>Maintains regular attendance in accordance with established policies.</li>\n<li>Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.</li>\n<li>Comply with VytlOne’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and VytlOne’s Compliance Program.</li>\n<li>Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists. </li>\n<li>Complete required training and ensure the departmental staff training is completed as required. </li>\n<li>Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.</li>\n<li>Ensure staff is informed of product upgrades or enhancements in a timely manner.</li>\n<li>May assist management with hiring and training competent staff. </li>\n<li>On a biweekly basis, verify departmental timesheets for departmental employees ensuring the timesheets are accurate based on the work-schedule and necessary corrections are done prior to Payroll submission. </li>\n<li>Develop and mentor departmental staff by providing career coaching; motivate departmental staff, individually and as a group; understand and support diversity; and establish an effective team.  </li>\n<li>May assist with conducting initial and annual performance evaluations.</li>\n<li>Promote teamwork; discipline staff when warranted.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Successful candidates will possess the following education and experience necessary for this position:</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy</li>\n <li>Current Texas Pharmacist license</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.</li>\n <li>Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.</li>\n <li>Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.</li>\n <li>Ability to assume essential responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager</li>\n <li>Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Our Company</strong></p>\n<p>At VytlOne we’re transforming the pharmacy industry to create healthier lives through purposeful engagement across Pharmacy Benefit Management, Pharmacy Management, Specialty Pharmacy, 340B, Rebate and Formulary Management, and Pharmacies.
