Join us in going above and beyond.</p><p><br></p><p>Stephens Memorial Hospital has a job opening for a PRN or as needed &nbsp;Respiratory Therapist..</p><p><br></p><p>Position / Title: RESPIRATORY THERAPIST&nbsp;</p><p>Reports To: Respiratory Therapy Director</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>Provides optimal, achievable, respiratory care that meets the needs of patients according to their classification. &nbsp;Promotes and participates in positive interdisciplinary relationships by working cooperatively with other departments of the hospital as specified by the STEPHENS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL organizational plan. &nbsp;Possesses a thorough knowledge of STEPHENS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL standards and participates in performance improvement activities.</p><p><strong id=\"isPasted\">Knowledge and Ability:</strong>&nbsp; Ability to participate in emergency procedures as well as all routine respiratory care as ordered by the physician. &nbsp;Ability to demonstrate professional skills with critical thinking, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. &nbsp; Ability to schedule outpatient services in an appropriate and timely manner.</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Equipment:</strong>&nbsp; Must be able to understand and operate all equipment used for respiratory care and testing including the handling, dispensing, and storing of therapeutic gases. &nbsp; Be able to have a basic knowledge of ordering respiratory supplies due to patient load.</p><p><strong>OSHA Task Category I:</strong>&nbsp; Task that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Job Requirements&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp;-High School diploma&nbsp;</p><p>- Must have graduated from an accredited Respiratory Care Practitioners Program&nbsp;</p><p>- maintain a current license with the Texas Department of Health. &nbsp;</p><p>- Must obtain a Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR-Healthcare Provider) card with in 6 months after your hire date.&nbsp;</p><p>- Under special circumstances one may work under the delegation and authority of medical director over the department.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>SMH is An Equal Opportunity Employer--M/F/D/V and a Drug/Tobacco Free Workplace</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n    </div>\n  \n",
