    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: red\">RESPONSIBILITIES: {Essential}</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Teaching/Learning (75%)</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Teach courses (lecture, laboratory, and clinical) in the ADN Program. Teaching assignments include may alternative delivery systems, such as on-line or web supported courses and may include non-traditional scheduling.</span></li>\n<li><span>Participate in planning and implementing the lecture, laboratory, and/or clinical experiences in collaboration with the Faculty Team, Simulation Lab Coordinator, Program Director and clinical affiliates as applicable.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain evaluation and attendance records as requested by the program and/or Vice President of Academic Affairs.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain records and files as requested by the department and/or Vice President of Academic Affairs.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Service to College &amp; Community (15%)</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Participate in continuous systematic plan of evaluation of nursing program as defined by the Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) and/or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN).</span></li>\n<li><span>Participates in development of the ADN Program self-study and preparation for KSBN and ACEN site visits.</span></li>\n<li><span>Serve actively on program and institutional committees.</span></li>\n<li><span>Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.</span></li>\n<li><span>Comply with HutchCC policies, practices and procedures.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Professional Growth (10%)</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Participate, as possible, in faculty development activities at the college and within professional organizations.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain professional requirements of clinical affiliates, the KSBN, and the ACEN.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>As Needed {Secondary}</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>May advise prospective and enrolled students in the appropriate curricula.</span></li>\n<li><span>May mentor honors students.</span></li>\n<li><span>May mentor new faculty after a minimum of one year of employment.  </span></li>\n<li><span>May sponsor co-curricular activities such as Hutchinson Association of Nursing Students.</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director, the Department Chairperson, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, or as specified in the local Master Agreement.  </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: red\">QUALIFICATIONS</span></span><span style=\"color: red\">:</span><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Master’s Degree in nursing required. (BSN may be accepted with current progress towards an MSN). </span></li>\n<li><span>Teaching experience in an associate degree nursing education program preferred. </span></li>\n<li><span>Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the state of Kansas.  </span></li>\n<li><span>Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) required.  </span></li>\n<li><span>Minimum of two years nursing experience providing direct patient care.  </span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to incorporate study skills, adult learning theory, and teaching/learning strategies to improve student persistence and retention.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with staff, students, faculty and other HutchCC stakeholders.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, racial, socioeconomic, gender and disabilities populations.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to maintain confidentiality in a student-centered environment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to be attentive to detail, to accurately follow written and oral instructions, and to work independently.</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent organizational skills and willingness to collaborate.</span></li>\n<li><span>Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push/pull, carry, etc.; excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills; ability to understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; Visual acuity to view a computer terminal; to use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; Light/indoor work environment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position. </span></li>\n<li><span>Physical and mental qualifications must be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation. </span></li>\n<li><span>The qualifications listed are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to perform the duties.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: red\">SALARY and STATUS</span></span><span style=\"color: red\">:  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>The salary is determined per the 2025-26 Hiring Salary Schedule in the local HutchCC Master Agreement.
